Chapter 4

I couldn't help but smile.I couldn't believe the prince escorted me to my room.Suddenly,there was a knock on my door."Enter" I said.Aimee entered my room with a beautiful blue dress.
"What is this for?"
"The king requested your presence at tonight's feast.He wants to meet you."I knew I had to meet the king,but not that soon.
"T-tonight?"Aimee smiled and came over to me.
"Do not worry,my lady.He only wants to talk to you."I started to relax a little bit.
"Will you help me get ready?I don't know anything about being elegant."I know that sounded embaressing but it was the truth.I wanted to make a good first impression to the king...and the prince.
After a few hours I was finally ready.Aimee did not let me look in the mirror until she finished.When I looked in the mirror I couldn't believe it was me in there.For the first time in my life I looked...beautiful.Although,wherever I went,people told me how beautiful I am,I never believed them.
"You look stunning,my princess!"
"Thank you,Ai-Wait!Did you call me 'princess'?"I am pretty sure that she just called me 'my princess'.I was not of royal blood.It is true I do not remember almost anything about my past,but I am sure I can not be a primcess.
"Princess?No.I did not call you like that.I said 'my lady'.You probably heard wrong."She said that smiling wide.Like I was absurd.Maybe she was right.Perhaps I just heard wrong.
"Thank you,Aimee!You helped me a lot!I would love to reward you...but I do not have anything to give you."Then I remembered I had a necklace.I don't know if it means something,but it is the least I can do to her.She healed me,she took care of me and now she helped me get ready for the feast.Besides,I do not need it.I reached for it and gave it to her.
"My lady,it is so kind of you but it is too much.I can not accept it."She handed it back to me.I smiled and gave it back to her.
"Take it.You deserve it and even more.You are a good friend,Aimee"
"Thank you,my lady!"
"Please,no formalities.You are my friend.Just call me Amdir."She looked up at me and smiled.
"Thank you,Amdir!I have never had a friend in here!I will send someone escort you to the feast."She left the room with a huge smile on her face.I finally have a friend.
