Don't Forget Me (Kellin Quinn Fanfic)

Part 2

 I got to my class and Kellin arrived shortly after taking a seat beside me. I smiled at him before looking back at the board as the teacher was introducing herself. "Good afternoon students, I hope that all of you had a first good day." I actually did have a good day today for a change, and I felt good. Looking around the class, tired and bored looking students was all I saw. When I look beside me Kellin was looking at me. "What is it?" He looked so confused "I don't know" he looked lost in thought. "Alright students since it's the first day let's get to know each other." She said making her way to the front of her desk. "I'm Miss Maria Rodriguez. I'm from Puerto Rico I have a cute dog named Lucy and well I'll be your teacher for the next year." Did she actually say Puerto Rico? And she has my last name too? I rose my hand and she notice "Yes? What's your name?"  "My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez; what part of Puerto Rico are you?" She looked really interested, she crossed her arms saying "I'm  from Dorado, why?" oh my God she must be a relative "Really? By any chance, do you know Luis and Carmen?" Her eyes got wide "Yes, Luis Rodriguez? He's my cousin." This cannot be happening right now. "What if I told you that I'm Carmen and Luis's daughter?" she gasped in surprise "Are you really? Wow! What a small world. How are they I haven't seen part of my family in a long time." Everyone was giving me weird looks but I was so happy to have a family member near me beside my parents, I felt Kellin's eyes on me the whole time, but I didn't care. "Yeah they're great, you should come and visit someday, I can give you our address." I offered her. "Yes of course. You can give it to me once class is done." I smiled a her and the other students kept presenting themselves. Soon Kellin got up and he presented himself voluntarily "Hi, my name is Kellin Quinn I'm from Oregon I like to sing, and yeah that's about it." You could see a few girls staring at him and I rolled my eyes at them they looked so silly. "You sing?" I asked him once he was finished talking "Yeah I do, it's what I love to do the most." He looked so sincere and sweet. The bell rang dismissing us, I went to Ms. Rodriguez and left her a piece of paper with the house number and the address. 

As I get out Kellin whispers "I hope I can get one of those soon." I was confused by his words because it didn't make sense. "One of what?" I asked him completely lost. He laughed. "Nothing. Come on let's get to Music class." We arrived and we were greeted by a young teacher she must of have 24 or something. "Ok class I want to start with something real easy. Who plays any type of instrument?" I rose my hand along with a few more students. "Ok good, good. Who can sing?" I rose my hand again followed by Kellin, but the other students that played instruments couldn't sing. So, Kellin, myself and three other students rose their hands. She hummed. "Good. For know that's all I wanted to now. You are all dismissed." She said, we were surprised and everyone started leaving. When I got up. "Not you, I need you for a little bit, come here." I looked at Kellin "Do you want me to wait for you?" I nodded "Yeah wait for me outside." I went to the teacher, I really had no clue of what she wanted. "What's your name?" she asked. "I'm Elizabeth." For the first time ever I have introduced myself more than two times in one day. "Ok, Elizabeth, I'm Lauren. What instruments do you play?"  "Please call me Liz. I play guitar and piano."  "Very good, now if you don't mind, could you sing for me a little?" Seriously? I only sing in the shower ... "Um ok." I took a deep breath "Don't be nervous, shake it off a little. I won't judge ok?" I nodded. "Ok then go ahead, sing anything to your liking." I decided to sing 'Beautiful' by Christina Aguilera. I was really nervous but I tried to put that aside. I started singing my eyes closed by themselves, feeling the vibration of singing throughout my body. I've practiced this song so many times I could've not got it wrong. When I was done she was staring at me with wide eyes hands covering her mouth. I didn't knew if it was either good or bad. "Oh my God. I need you, you're the one. You're perfect." She simply said "For what?" I was so confused, yet I always am. "The school will be closed down if we don't win the talent show competition. We're going to compete against other schools from the area and the one who wins will recieve a check to rebuild the school or use it for any activities." She informed me, "Ok, ok so wait you're telling me this so I could compete? For our school?" I asked in disbelief. "Yes, please Liz, we need you. Your talent can help save our school. Please at least think about it, but I'm not taking a no for an answer." I hesitated a bit when another voice said, "She'll do it, and I'll be joining her as well." I look to my side to see Kellin smile at me. "Alright then, let me hear you sing." Said Lauren to Kellin he smiled all confident and I stepped back giving him some space. He started singing and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. His soft voice was so perfect, Lauren looked at me and I nodded and she looked in agreement. 

Once he was done she told us that for the Talent Show we should do a duet and that that for sure was going to make us win the competition. We agreed to sing together and that the competition was in two weeks. "When it's time for you to come to this class, instead you get my class free and we'll only meet here when the class is done and start practicing." We comply to her instructions and head out. "Liz, I never thought you had such a beautiful voice. It's almost unbelievable!" I blushed a little, "Thanks, I can say the same about you. I was hypnotized by your voice it's just so pure and amazing and-" I kept on talking without realizing he stopped walking. "What is it?" he just stood there, trying to figure me out. "Nothing is just that no one has never told me that before, not even my girlfriend." I felt kind of bad for him to be honest "She just doesn't realizes how lucky she is." I gave him a sincere smile and a was rewarded with the same. We head out saying our goodbyes taking our different bus and go home. I never thought that today was going to be an awesome day.
