Vic's POV

I stopped my car, well my mom's since I didn't want to take Jaime to the restaurant on my motorcycle, in front of the address Jaime had texted me earlier today. It was 6:40 so I had a little time to fix up my appearance a bit. I pulled down the visor above my head and opened the small mirror, brushing my hair back with my hands and checking my teeth just in case there was any food stuck in between them. I took a deep breath in and out, trying to calm my nerves and the butterflies in my stomach. I'm usually never this nervous, especially before a date. But Jaime was different for some reason. I felt like I could trust him with things and just talk to him for hours. He was also super out of my league. He had a bunch of friends and was absolutely flawless. Unlike me, who really just had Mike (who was my brother, so I'm not sure if that even counts as a friend) and Alex and a lot of flaws.

Checking the clock again, it read 6:44 so I took the keys out of the ignition and stepped out of the car. I tugged on the bottom of my blue floral button up and ran my hand through my curly hair once again. Jaime's house was a moderate size, two stories and a long driveway. I began to ascend the narrow sidewalk leading up to his front door and stepped up the two stairs at the end of the pathway. I lightly knocked on the dark wood door three times and stepped back, waiting for Jaime to answer.

Instead, I was greeted by his brother.

"Who are you?" the short boy asked with his arms across his chest.

"Uhm my name is Vic," I said timidly, shifting on my feet.

"VIC!? YOU'RE THE FAMOUS VIC??! OH MY GOSH HAVE I HEARD STUFF ABOUT YOU! All Jaime says is 'Vic this. Vic that.' I can't believe I'm seeing you in person!" exclaimed the younger Preciado, arms flailing and high pitched voice raised.

Jaime must have heard his brother's outburst because a second after his sibling finished his sentence, I saw the man himself appear at the top of the stairs. He was wearing a simple white sweater with a black beanie, only a hint of his semi blonde hair peaking out from underneath. Even in something as simple as that, Jaime managed to look absolutely jaw dropping.

"Oh ah Vic sorry you had to deal with this little rascal." Jaime said while descending the stairs. "Chris, thanks for greeting Vic but I gotta get going. Don't annoy mom too much and don't get into any trouble, I should be home by 10 at the latest."

"Alright Hime, don't have too much fun without me. Also Vic, you better bring my big brother up to the door when you bring him back, none of this drop off then drive away stuff," Chris said with a grin.

"Alright, I promise," I said to the young yet clever boy.

He then pushed Jaime out next to me on the porch and shut the door.

"Hi," He said with a playful grin, his adorable dimples prominent with his smile.

I was awestruck by his beauty. Looking him up and down, I noticed his red vans paired with his black jeans, which looked amazing on him. I bit my lip and tugged my lip ring in between my teeth, looking back into his eyes. He laughed lightly and started walking towards my car. I shook my head as I started walking after Jaime, clearing away my previous thoughts.

"Here," I said, running in front of Jaime and opening the passenger door for him. He got in quickly and I closed the door after him before walking in front of the car to my side. I got in, put the keys in the ignition, buckled my seatbelt, then looked over at Jaime.

"Uhm I just uh, I wanted to say that y-you look really good?" I attempted to tell the boy sitting next to me but it came out more as a question. Silently cursing at myself I looked down at my hands, nerves and sparks of joy running through my veins.
