-Hailey's POV-

We walked out of the club in silence, no one dared speak.

It was like a constant cold and eerie wind was always passing over you. The feeling is strange and malevolent.

The only sound, was the bang of the oak doors behind us and the splatter of rain on the pavement.

I didn't know the time, but I guessed it was somewhere around 3 am.

Every light was off, even the ones that lined the pavements, it's as if they knew what'd happened.

But how could they? Hailey, your fucking with your brain.

I just, everything feels so strange and cold.

There was the sound if the car unlocking and us slowly climbing into it.

The drive home was silence again between everyone, but not an awkward silence, it was a comforting one.

No one knew what to say and if there were no words to say, we just simply wouldn't speak them.

It's crazy how the human mind works like that.

It felt as though the car drive was a minute, and before I knew it, we were standing by the front door, waiting to get in and feel the safety in our house.

For the first time in what felt ages, there was a mumble among us.

"Home sweet home," I heard joe mumble as we walked in.

I started to regret telling them what I had earlier, I knew it was probably the best thing to do, but now I don't even feel safe in my own holiday 'home' and I was sure as hell everyone else was.

As everyone parted, I noticed that someone was following me when I turned to go to my room.

Your overthinking stuff, Hailey. Seriously, it's probably just Shane or someone like that.

I forced myself to believe that, but through turns and turns of corridors liked with doors, I reached a dead end that I'd never been into before.

Holy fucking hell, Hailey you're done.

I started breathing heavily.

I turned around, eyes screwed shut, expecting to see my fate.

I opened them after nothing happened, and instead at the end of the corridor was, Joe Sugg.

He slowly walked over to me and engulfed me in a hug.

"Don't worry," he said, his eyes year stained and a puffy red.

He lifted his head on top of mine and wrapped his arms around me.

"I wish I could," I mumbled into his chest.

I felt safe, i felt protected. It was one of the best feelings, ever.

He made me feel something I've never felt.

After minutes of standing in the corridor, arms around each other, eyes closed, hoping to death that tomorrow would never come, we parted.

I felt the safe leave me and I could tell by the way he looked away, he felt exactly the same.

Surely we were just two people caught in an incident and the incident wasn't about us?

That was what I forced myself to believe.

"I guess we'd better get back too our rooms," Joe said looking right at me.

"After this," I said, pushing my lips against his and wrapping my arms around his neck. His arms immediately snaked around my waist, following my sudden surge of love.

Everything, in a day of wrong, felt so perfect and right. It was a feeling you could only describe as:

Love.

We were together for a long time and it seemed to last forever, and I wanted it too.

I couldn't give a shit about anything else, just the attacker, the story and the note.

But Joe fucking Sugg, has made me forget all this, just for a short amount of time.

We parted, still staring deeply at each other. Tears fell down my cheek, I didn't know why, I just don't.

He cupped my face and told me.

"Hailey, as long as I'm with you and your with me, it'll be alright," those words may not seem a lot, but in a time like this, they meant the world. To hear someone say them was like a gift from god, but everyone was too scared they'd jinx it.

"I guess we'd better get back before they start worrying about us," I said, not wanting to leave but to just stay here with Joe .

"I guess," he said and we both walked to our separate rooms.

I opened the door of my room, expecting to see everyone sleeping

But everyone was sat, on their beds, deep in conversation, but it was nothing about the event tonight.

It was a stress-reliever for finally, people to not talk about what happened.

Even in the minivan, everyone often stared at me as I tried to focus ahead and look out of the front windscreen.

I knew these guys the best., the ones that sat on their beds talking about the randomness shit.

It's funny how your best friends can just take everything bad away.

"Helllllllo," I called out into the room.

"Hai, Hail," they said laughing.

I fell onto my bed in a heap and joined in there conversation.
