I turned back around to be greeted with deep green eyes. Joe."Hi?" I said awkwardly, slowly walking away backwards.
"Well this is awkward," he said scratching his neck and leaning against the wall with one of his arms.
I stared at him for a moment and what seemed for only a flicker, our eyes met each other's.
I turned my head, as to walk away, though it has a higher chance of deepening the awkwardness, I decided to do it.
Slowly, I walked down the corridor towards my room. I looked behind me to see if he was still there, he was, this time he was staring at me full on.
I gulped and continued forward, I hoped to god that no one else would ever know this happened.
But I'm sure they will.
The internet has it's ways.
-
I shut the door behind me and was greeted by a pitch black room, I assumed everyone must he in the lounge.
I went over to the window, it was letting in strong and loud gusts of winds.
That's strange, I don't remember opening it, unless they did whilst they were in here.
I sat down at the only desk in the room and grabbed my phone from its position on my bed.
I checked by tweets and checked most social medias. Instagram, check. Tumblr, check. Facebook, don't have it.
On the opposite side of the room as to where I was sitting, there was a mahogany, small coffee table.
There was a small note placed on top of it but I decided to take no notice of it and I went out of the room, shutting the door behind me.
I walked down the corridor to the main room, where I thought everyone was. Infact, only Joe was there, sat in the middle of one of the couches, looking down at his phone, scrolling through something I couldn't make out from here.
He had a focused face on, it was so cute and hot when he did that. When he bit his lip, oh.
Hailey, stop fantasising.
I snapped out of it and walked towards the sofa, placing myself down next to him.
There was an awkward silence filling the air, I knew sure as hell he could sense it as well.
He glanced up from his phone and looked at me before looking back down.
"Where are the others?" I finally piped up, wanting to know where my sort of group of friends were.
"Fool," I think I heard him mumble, but I think I heard it wrong.
"Fool?" I asked, laughing slightly and furrowing my eyebrows.
"Pool," he said louder, but still in a mumbling tone. This time I heard him correctly.
I walked away from him, occasionally looking back to see if he was looking at me, if he was I didn't catch him.
I slid the glass door open and saw everyone crowded around the pool, laughing and looking as though they were having so much fun.
'I'll fit straight in, I'm the life of the party' I mumbled under my breath before finding a sun lounger beside Shane.
"Hey boo!" Trisha said, well basically screamed.
"Hi!" I said, seeming over enthusiastic.
"So you getting in the pool?" She asked, glancing at me then the pool whilst drinking her what I think was apple juice.
"Oh shit, yeah. I need my swimming costume," I said laughing before running back into the house to get it.
I had no idea of the house layout, I knew how to get from the pool to my room, going through the main dining/sitting room that is.
I did not want to go that way, I wanted to avoid Joe as if I did walk past, awkward tension might build even higher.
I could see no obvious route so I decided to just see how my luck was.
Luckily, he was exiting the room, going to his I think, just as I was entering.
I walked down the same corridor I've been down so many times these 2 days.
I walked into the room, grabbing my swimming costume and getting changed into it.
My swimming costume, was a a bikini. It was like a galaxy bikini.
I walked back to the pool, nearly slipping on the polished floor due to having no shoes on.
I went back to the sun lounger I accumulated earlier that day and sat on it, tanning for around an hour.
I could see the light was starting to fade, but in L.A, from these past two days, the summer at night was nearly as warm as the summer at day.
I had no idea if my hypothesises would work but I tried it, hoping it would.
I stood by the pool, just about to get in when I felt arms around my side forcing me into the water.
I crashed into the blue with a bang. I wiped the water from my eyes and swam to the side of the pool, holding onto the edge.
I saw a Joe rise up from under the water and I knew it was him.
At a time when I knew he could hear me, when his head and ears were above the surface, I shouted angrily.
"Joe you little bitch, you don't know what you've started!"
