I posted an ad on some website that I found looking for a new teacher. I had a lot of responses and some good options. I narrowed it down to 3 choices, Nancy Anew, Rowan Hamilton and Sara Smith. They all had good resumes and had great comments about the homeschooling options for Lucy. I decided the only way to decide is to invite them all to our house and interview them.
****1 week later****
Lucy POV
Today is the day I meet my potential teacher. Dad told there are three options and that I would get the final choice. The doorbell rang so I ran to the door but Avia, Brock and Emmi were already there standing in front of 3 gorgeous ladies. This is my chance to introduce myself. 'Hi my name is Lucy and these kids are my siblings, I'm guessing you want to speak to our parents'
'Yeah honey that would be great, my name is Nancy Anew, but you can call me Miss Nanc'
'Nice to meet you Miss Nanc please come in everyone'
The three ladies walked in, so I sent Avia to go find Mum and Dad. Soon enough the interviews were underway.
***2 hours later (last question, last interview***
'What are your values and methods of teaching for Lucy?' asked Mum,
'Well, I believe I'm a very relaxed and chilled teacher. I want my students to achieve the very best they can. In order for this to happen, you need to be willing to listen to the student and help when needed, you also need to be very happy and positive towards anything you are teaching. I do both these things and I think I'm the best option for Lucy'
Mum, Dad and I walk out to the three applicants and are about to walk them to the door when,
'I forgot to mention, if you get this job you will be living on our property in a small house currently getting built' Dad quickly started talking, he was informing the ladies of their chance.
Once the teachers have left Mum, Dad and myself walk into the dining room to discuss who to pick. Personally, I really loved Miss Sara Smith, she seemed really nice and sounded like she could teach me a lot. 'Mum, Dad I really like Sara Smith. She was super sweet and had a lot of good things to say about teaching methods and seemed open to the whole traveling thing' I had to tell them.
'I really liked her to the other 2 just seemed unusual nice enough but maybe not for you' Mum told me but I didn't mind. Looks like Miss Sara Smith will be my new teacher.
'We can call her tomorrow and tell her the good news. Now lets go and cook some dinner, I AM STARVING' Dad announced.
