Today was a big day,it was one of the days of track provincials. I've been waiting for this since the starting of the year of training.I just knew provincials will be amazing. My mom and I get into our ocean blue mini van for a 3hour drive to Kamloops. I'm excited inside but also nervous, feeling like I'm going to throw up while I'm smiling at the same time. That's how mixed my emotions felt. I look out at the window seeing dried up plants and the shinning sun. I looked at my mom and smiled then shut my eyes,slowly parts of me was falling asleep then all at once.
3hours have past as my mom shakes me on the arm. "We're here sweetie,are you ready to go to our hotel room?" My mom says with a grin on her face. "I couldn't be more ready" I say getting up and out of the car quickly. 15 minutes has passed* we have gotten unpacked and my mom gets a phone call. She talks for a bit and puts her phone down. "Amy we have been invited to go to to your friend Emily's hotel to go swim in the pool for a bit, would you like to go?" "Yeah sure,sounds like fun before some of my events" I say casually. Both of us scurry thought the door and hop back into our mini van to go to my friends Emily's hostel.
