Months had past and I had no contact with Zach,I gave up.He may have been just a bad habit of mine and not like he would like me anymore anyways,he's to good not to have a girlfriend by now. I let him slide out of my mind so he could he disappear out of my memory.
I went to Amandas house that day. "So Amy any luck with Zach?" Amanda questions. "I gave up on him,I couldn't take it any longer. He has probably found someone better than me,so there is no reason to be crushing on someone that probably isn't interested in you anymore." I say with disbelief. "Oh." Amanda says softly."I have no chance with him.." I say looking at the floor. Amanda hugs me "Amy you have a chance with anyone if you just try.If you truly like them or love them they will still be in your heart no matter what happens." Those words stuck in my mind like glue. I repeated it a few hundred times to understand what she said. She always knows what to say because I'll probably understand those words later. But I don't think like I'll like him again but all I know is that I gave up and there is no hope."Amanda I think some times I think I need to stop expecting things and realize the reality." My head rests Amandas shoulder, and there is silence. "Amy I think sometimes you give up on someone because you think the other person doesn't care anymore, but how do you know they don't care?" I pause. "Because I can feel he doesn't." Amanda was going to say something but then she lost her words and just stared at me. I think it's fair to say there is no hope.
