The air had grown almost still over the land, the land that once was barren yet no more, beautiful flowers covered the ground where it was once cracked, the earth was healing, the towns and countries where growing, an age of prosperity, truly the golden age of their time in the Twilight Realm.

Shadow and Gabriel slept away in their castle, the city was silent no trading caravans or people partying, curfew had fallen and the gates to the city had closed, yet with each passing day Shadow and Gabriel began to sleep even heavier and heavier, a strange anomaly had passed the ears of the two kings, rumors of demons and troops pouring from portals in the southern wastelands, bandits and heavily armored artillery seemed to be massing in the south though it where only rumors, Thaddious still laid resting in crystal, a crystal so clear nothing could ever hide his slumber.

But, still the hearts of the kings lay uneasy and their minds un-resting in fear that the world may be in for a change, a change for the worse.

When they awoke the next day they discussed with their adviser (Felix) and their wives (Terra and Saria), the decision they made was a hasty one at that, in the end they decided to take two groups of their elite soldiers as well as themselves, and venture south to check the anomaly out of sheer curiosity.

They ventured south, far far south, so far in fact that they had to take a boat to the southernmost continent, a barren scorched land, the land in which the great war occurred.

When they reached their location, they deployed their troops and set up an encampment on the shore, the scorched land had nothing to bear so their stay had to be short.

In the distance, as the sun set Shadow and Gabriel both almost swore they heard a gentle, familiar voice.
