In a distant land, a beautiful one even more radiant than the world Shadow and Gabriel knew to be their home the sun was setting over the mountains a beautiful sunset the sunbeams radiated gallantly over the lands. Butterflies and birds chirping and bees returning to their homes after harvesting pollen from a beautiful bounty of flowers, however not everything was so beautiful in this land.
In the distance there lay a tall hill, rounded at the top and clad in bodies in iron, steel, sweat and blood only three men stood tall on the top of the hill, one clad in darkness, one clad in light, one in silver.
The man in white clad in honor and justice shouted "All light, will drown out the darkness"
The man steeped in darkness, a darkness even colder than the night responded with a grunt "We shall see"
The man in silver only chuckled, "For those, who fight over petty beliefs you will never find prosperity, prosperity resides in balance"
The man of dark, and the man of lights swords clashed violently, their shields clanged at each strike after swiping towards the man clad in lights face only then did he realize the severity of the manner, almost as if he was too cocky so the man clad in light took two paces back.
"You think this a game, Ross?" The man clad in darkness grunted
"I guess I hadn't acknowledged the severity of the issue until now, Knil" The man in clad in light replied.
"yes, this is life or death" Knil retorted as he struck forward.
"I understand now, Knil" Ross struck back
Their blades clashed back and forth until the sweat ran down their cheeks.
"Yet still, here now our friendship meant nothing.." Ross grunted.
"It meant everything, but you took a different path" Knil replied while striking outwards.
"hm..?" the spectator in silver turned only to vanish.
The man had vanished and re appeared taking the edge of Knils blade through his shoulder, the tip stopped in front of Ross's eye.
The man in silver grunted.
"Without darkness, there would be no light, without light there would be no darkness"
"Preposterous!" Knil shouted, tearing the blade upward lifting the man in silver off his feet.
"It is true, child" he smiled as the blood poured from his shoulder.
"Without darkness, there would be no reason for people to have light in their hearts, and without light there would be no reason for darkness to exist, perfect balance, zen." He laughed.
Ross's blade penetrated the other shoulder of the man
" I refuse to believe this blasphemy" Ross shouted
"what.." he looked at his blade, the man intentionally moved himself in the way.
"ahh... the sweet summer sun.. setting over the mountainside.."
"What a fitting ending" he smiled.
The blades of the two men turned to ash, the mans body began to dissipate into silver mist, in a silvery flash of light a tree stood tall in his place, the two men where appalled when the light faded from their eyes.
"what.." Knil stared at the ground
"yea.." Ross replied.
Ross slugged Knil in the face, it was an even trade back and forth laying into each others armor doing nothing but hurting themselves until they collapsed.
