Marcus's POV:

While Aubrey's in her room unpacking, I'm downstairs cooking dinner. Tiffany and James didn't come here yet. Thank goodness. I think this whole thing is going to be overwhelming. I think I'm gonna lose because if James touch Aubrey, I swear I'll go crazy. I'm super protective when it comes to her.

"Hey, babe! Whatcha cooking?" I turned around, and it was Aubrey standing at the doorway.

"I'm cooking my favorite." I said while finishing up.

"Smells amazing." I could hear her footsteps coming closer and closer behind me. She started rubbing my back softly.

"Aubrey?" I questioned.

"Yes?" She said, still rubbing my back.

"I'm sort of cooking right now."

"Sorry." She took her hand off my back.

The doorbell rang and Aubrey left the kitchen to answer it.

"Hi! I'm Tiffany! You must be Aubrey. Marcus's girlfriend?"

Oh shit.

Aubrey's POV:

Damn! She's beautiful. Her big brown eyes. Her smile. Her figure. Her long brown hair. Everything! I can't compete with that. I'm gonna lose badly.

"Uh... Yes, I'm Aubrey. It's nice to meet you." I put my hand out, but she didn't except it. Instead, she gave me a hug. I hugged her back. I was a little taken back by the whole hug thing.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and unpack. I'll be right back down." She pulled out of the hug and grabbed her luggages. She walked passed me and went upstairs. Hers was next to mine.

Great.

I went back in the kitchen and leaned on the door frame.

"You never told me that she was drop dead gorgeous." I said. Marcus stopped what he was doing and turned around and walked towards me. We were inches away from each other.

"Because your way more beautiful than her." He said then kissed me after.

"And your more gorgeous than James." I kissed him.

The doorbell rang again. I sighed before answering it. Right when I opened it, I was picked up and was spun around.

"Hey, Aub! How've you been?" He said, putting me down, but still has his arms wrapped around my waist.

"I'm great." I said, pushing his arms off of me. It was an awkward silence surrounding the room, until I heard Marcus clear his throat.

"Marcus. This is James. James this is Marcus. My boyfriend." I introduced him, making sure that he heard the word 'boyfriend' clearly.

"It's nice to meet you, Marcus." He put his hand out, and Marcus gladly except it. I sighed in relief.

Marcus's POV:

I know he's gonna try and steal Aubrey away from me. No homo, but he's some hard competition. His heavy British accent will have any girl fall for him, but I have the looks. Not to sound conceited or anything.

"Dinner's ready." I said, breaking the silence that was in the room.

"Okay, let's eat!" James said, rubbing his hands together while going in the dining room. Aubrey was walking behind him, but I grabbed her arm and gently pulled her back.

"What is it?" Aubrey asked, looking worried.

"That's James? Your ex?" I looked at her wide eyed. Aubrey looked at James then back at me.

"Yes, that's him. Are you jealous already?" She smiled.

"No." I lied. Of course I am. He's like every girls dream. No homo.

-At the table-

Everyone was sitting down eating. It was silent. No one was talking. Instead, we gave each other looks.

"I'm full, so I'm gonna go to bed." Aubrey got up and left the table.

Aubrey's POV:

It was too quiet for me. I hate silence. It's so awkward and creepy. If your around people, don't be so quiet. TALK!

My phone buzzed in my pocket. I pulled it out and answered it.

"Hey, Sabrina!" I sort of yelled.

"Hey, girlie! I miss you already. I can't stand the fact of me not being there with you." Sabrina said with sympathy. She's bullshitting me.

"Sabrina, I know that you wanna come up here just to meet Marcus's ex."

"Damnit, you caught me! But seriously, I do miss you like crazy."

"I miss you too. How's everything going?" I asked, grabbing my black yoga shorts then walking in my bathroom.

"Everything's great! My mom nearly went back up to that school and killed her." Sabrina laughed. I laughed with her.

"I wish she did. I can't stand that miserable bitch. If you hate teens, then why bother being a teacher?" I said, stripping out of my skinny jeans.

"I know right? Enough of her, what about you? How's everything going over there?"

"Everything's awkward. We ate dinner together and it was complete silence. I hate silence so much." I said, putting on my yoga shorts then leaving the bathroom.

"Yeah, I know you hate silence. We've known each other since preschool. Anyway, what else? Give me the details about the ex."

"Her names Tiffany. She's about 5'7. She's gorgeous. Has long pretty dark brown hair. Perfect smile. Big brown eyes. EVERYTHING!" I exclaimed, throwing my jeans in the hamper.

"You're gorgeous as well. Don't let that skank get to you. You're beautiful."

"Thanks Sabrina, but I'm worried that Marcus is going to fall back in love with her." I said, laying down on the bed.

"He won't. Just stay positive, okay?"

"Okay. I'll call you tomorrow."

"Actually, Skype me on your laptop. Okay?"

"Okay. Bye." I hung up and sat my phone on the dresser next to the bed before going to sleep.
