*Steffi POV*

I walk through the damp forest with my arms crossed, feeling angered. Not only at Cam but at myself. Granted, Cam said a few things that were horrible but I feel horrible even opening my mouth to talk back. I should've just left it alone and ignored him but instead I decided to speak.

I shake my head making the thought go away as I spot Makai up ahead, walking up the driveway to the lakehouse we're staying at. I let out a small sigh. Thank goodness we weren't far from the cabin. I whistle making Makai turn around, facing me with his ears up.

I sigh and walk out onto the road, "C'mere." I say patting my thighs.

He starts running towards me with his tongue out, and immediately attacks me with kisses as he reaches me. I laugh as I pet him over and over again, "Everything's okay baby." I let out a small sigh, then smile down at him.

He licks my chin with a grin on his face. I chuckle, "Let's go then." I stand upright and start walking down the dirt road towards the cabin.

Makai runs ahead of me and walks in front of me calmly. I rub my arms feeling a bit cold as the rain starts to pour harder. I stop and turn around, looking back to see if Cameron is behind walking or in his Range Rover driving. I wait a few moments, hearing only the sound of rain hitting the trees and ground with force, waiting to see anything down the drive way, but nothing.

I let out a small sigh and turn back around, walking up to the cabin with Makai. I walk to the French doors and look through the window to see everybody up, eating breakfast either at the dining table or in the living room as The good dinosaur plays on the TV screen.

Either way everyone's eyes are glued to the tv. I feel a smile tug at my lips as I shake my head. I open the door making others eyes bolt to the door. Makai bursts through and start attacking Giorgia in kisses.

"There you are!" Marlee bolts to her feet, scrambling off Aaron on the couch and over to me. I raise my eyebrows as she stops in front of me with her arms crossed, "You're soaking wet!"

I shrug, "It's just water."

She sighs, "You and Cameron were both gone. We thought you two went out, like on a date or something." She tilts her head, eyes on me.

My eyes widen slightly, "What? No. We went to go get Makai and he decided to flip out on me in which I flipped out on him so I ended up walking away and now I'm here." I hear myself ramble, regretting everything suddenly.

She raises her eyebrows, "Wait what?" Aaron walks up beside Marlee, putting his arm over her shoulder.

I sigh shaking my head, "I gotta go. I'll be right back," I walk back towards the front door. I look over my shoulder, "With Cam." I say walking out and down the steps one by one.

"At least grab a coat!" Marlee yells.

I ignore her and quickly start back down the driveway and go back into the forest, where we started in the first place. I walk through the damp forest brush as I start to shiver uncontrollably. I let out a hiss as I get smacked by a branch in the face.

I grumble rubbing my nose as it stings with pain, "Steffi?" I jump at the sudden voice in front of me and almost fall off the small rock I'm standing on.

I look up to see Cam with furrowed eyebrows. I let out a huff of relief and walk to him while he stays with a confused expression on his face. As I stop in front of him I wrap my arms around him, pulling him into me and my small form.
