And friends don't treat me like you do.

Well I know that there's a limit to everything,

"But he said we should stay friends. Friends yo. "

Friends?

"Boom your ass got friend zoned," I exclaimed picking up the bowl of chips and then placing one on my tongue. I sucked the nacho cheese flavoring off of the Dorito. Don't know why I had a habit of doing that before I ate the chip.

At least Cherie didn't seem so upset or sad about the whole ordeal. We were actually laughing about the whole situation. She was always a trouper.

"Deadass though. He said he's "talking" to someone from school...Whatever. I'm over that n**** for real." Sure she was.

I mean she sounded sure of herself, but was she really sure about it? I doubt it. "Say hello to the new Cherie muh f****," I joked with a mouth full of chips and she rolled her eyes.

"Seriously though. It's summer. Ain't nobody got time for this s***. At this point I don't care what happens anymore," she said snatching the bowl out of my hands. Rude much?

"Oh and who's this guy I heard you were dancing and flirting with at the party," she questioned smiling a bit and I now rolled my eyes.

I tried my hardest to keep from smiling, but my lips couldn't stop dancing around. "Well his name is Sebastian, but people also call him Bash." Cherie cocked her head to the right and her right brow followed suit.

"Wait. Bash, light skin, went to Suffington, and played ball," she inquired. Why am I not surprise. Everybody always knows someone from around here. Eight million people, yet New York is still simply too small.

Shaking my head yes, Cherie blurted out a hard and cold laugh. "You know that's one of Khalil's best friends right?"

Why did she have to remind me? After getting home last night, I've been feeling guilty about it. But f*** it, if I messed with him, it wouldn't be the worst thing that I've ever done.

I shrugged it off and like the pest Cherie is she started singing out, "Aviva she smashed the homies." It wasn't even like that.

"Oh my gosh I need this bathing suit in my liiiifffffeee," Aria yelled and everyone in the store turned her way.

I would've believed her, if she hadn't said that about the other seven bathing suits that we saw in the other stores.

"Can yall hurry. I hate coming to this damn mall. I see everyone I know here," Cherie complained. That was one thing that I hated about this mall as well.

We could've just gone to Rosenthal, but no Aria wanted to come here. And just like that O, Michael, Aubrey, and Chris walked right by us. Talk about a coincidence.

"Yo look at these ugly ass girls," Chris belted out and laughed to himself while we just grilled him.

I felt really bad for Cherie though. Like O just told her yesterday that he was "seeing" someone else and that they should stay friends. I wouldn't want to see the n**** until like a month later.

Flashing over to Cherie, she pretended to be looking at some clothes.

"Boy shut your light bright ass up. I'm surprised I can even see your ass right now," I spoke up with a smile and O and Michael laughed.

Their laughter made me realize that Aria had already drifted off to the other side of the mall with Aubrey. I knew she liked his ass.

She probably always did. He was just a bit geeky in high school, yet still really social with everyone. The way he glo'd up after High school was unbelievable.

I didn't even bother to include Cherie in the convo like the good friend I am. I could tell she wasn't in the mood. And I could sense that Chris could feel it as well. But Michael just had to say something.

"So you can't saywassup to anyone Miss Rude Gyal." He tried to put on a fake patois accent that made us laugh. It kind of made the air less awkward.

"My bad I didn't want to intrude on yall convo and I'm looking at some stuff," she said in a low voice and smiled.

Odell looked at her the whole time and she did everything to avoid any eye contact. Cherie picked some shirts up and began examining them.

"You should get that one," O spoke out catching eye contact with her for about five seconds. She let out a chuckle and put the shirt right back on the shelf.

Once we left Chris and Aubrey back at the mall I thought it would be the perfect time to talk to O about what happened to Chrerie. I would've said it in front of Chris, but he probably would've felt like he had to be bias since that's his sis.

"Yo wassup with you and Cherie? She didn't seem that happy to see you today," a laugh escaped my mouth because of how she kept repeatedly playing him.

"Nothing. I just told her we should be friends. You know I already got Kat and Jessica back at school."

"Wait n****. Who the f*** Jessica?"

"Remember that b**** I told you about that I met at that party and gave me h*** in the bathroom."

Who is he trying to fool? O gotta be one of the dumbest n***** I know when it comes to relationships and chicks. He acts as if things with Kat and this Jessica girl are solemn, but he knows he's scared because deep down inside he might like Cherie a lot.

I feel like he knows that if he kept messing with Cherie things could get serious and he won't be free to do what he wants. O ain't the type to be tied down.

"Man you p****."

 "Mike don't start."

"Naw bro. I know you too well. You scared you might get into a relationship with her then you both gon' have to leave for school. You p**** as f-ck. I don't get it, Cherie a real cool girl."

I wouldn't have even gotten the chance to know her if it wasn't for him. He used to rave about this girl in high school and how dope she was. N***** be confused.

"So. Dani's a real cool girl too."

I knew this kid would do this. I'm trying help his ass out and he brings up my s***. I swiftly turned my head and asked, "what?"

"I'm just saying, this is coming from a dude that was recently thinking about cheating on his girl."

S*** had nothing to do with what we were talking. He just didn't want to talk about his problems. I think O was forgetting that we were cousins and that I knew him ever since he was born.

I let out a laugh because I knew he wasn't serious and continued, "You got it. Don't say I never told you though."

"Listen bruh, I'm just saying. I ain't tryna be tied down to no b****."

"Chill O, regardless of anything she's a close friend to the group and if Chris were here he would be calling you out for referring to Cherie as a b****."

"You know what I mean. I'm not trying to call her a b*****...I'm just saying. I'm not tryna be in no relationship. I'm a D1 football player getting ready to go to the league. These girls know wassup."

"Man, you got it."

If I can remember clearly O said this Kat girl was from Jersey and was supposed to be visiting him soon. S*** not looking too good for him.

But he's always going to do what he does best and that's stay in some drama and not listen to any of my advice.
