Back to life...

Back to reality...

"Come on. You're taking forever Aviva," Cherie yelled from the bathroom.

She was already ready to go to the party and I was finishing up my makeup. At least I've gotten better with the whole "getting ready to go out and not be late" thing. College taught me. I used to take almost two hours to get ready, but that all changed when I realized that I'd have to wake up hella early for a nine o' clock class. I ain't 'bout that life.

Finally done I looked myself and my outfit over and winked at the mirror in approval. Last but not least I pushed my boobs up a bit and slightly giggled at myself. Shawty was looking gone with the wind fabulous.

Walking down the stairs to leave I told Cherie, "You act like this is something new. When you signed up for this friendship you knew that my lateness was included in the package." She laughed a bit and responded, "Come on. Chris is waiting outside."

Chris is Cherie's brother. Well,he's her half brother. Kind of felt like he always had a thing for me. Who knows? N**** never said anything, so I guess I'm just assuming based off of glances and a few actions

. When we walked out Cherie's behind got in the back because she knew if she didn't we would be arguing. I don't know why I hated sitting in the back of the car so much. Sh-t forever bothered me.

 "Wassup Aviva?"

"Nothing much Chris. Wassup with you?" He began driving and replied, "same ol sh-t. Just trying to get turned up tonight." I swear that was exactly how I felt.

****

Stick Talk blared through the speakers and immediately I felt my hips moving. I also could feel the stares, yet it didn't bother me. I didn't mind the attention. I actually liked it.

Making my way through some guys' hands that were out, I walked directly to where Aria, Gia, and Naudia were. Guys just don't know how to ask a girl how to dance anymore. I should've played all of them and gave them daps.

Gia was all over Trey; which didn't surprise me. I guess distance really does make the heart grow founder, but I bet you Trey had a whole bunch of hoes on him while he was away at school.

And I even bet he wasn't complaining, but I wouldn't tell Gia that. I mean she must've known. He was a Division One college basketball player for goodness sake.

"Hey, hey, hey," I yelled then gave them each a hug and kiss on the cheek. We all looked too excited. It just felt like old times.

Yeah school was fun, but there was nothing like being back home with your old homies and people and kicking it.

My thoughts went to where Cherie would be. She was most likely saying hi to the world because she was always very social. Just like that she popped up in our area.

"Hey thots," Cherie shrieked over the music and all of them jumped up and down hugging her. Unlike I, Cherie rarely visited this year.

A part of me would deliberate whether or not she liked it over there more than she did here. I mean I've visited her away at her school and she just seemed a bit more different there. Maybe even free. Hopefully she wasn't forgetting about all her friends back at home, most importantly me.
