"Sometimes I stare in the mirror, wishing you'd call my name, but when I look back and remember the times, my life only fills with pain. I can't carry on like this, not anymore, I'm wishing you could walk right in through the door, and... come back to me," I whispered, scribbling on the next blank page of my notebook. The hours had passed away and we were all back in the studio again; it was 2:16 p.m. Well, the only guy who was here at the moment with me was Bill. Geezer and Tony were upstairs in the music store looking at new guitar strings, and Ozzy of course was running late. As I scribbled words, Bill sat across from me, smirking.
"So... what are you writing?" He asked.
"A song. You were too busy snoring and drooling this morning therefore you have no idea what's going on." Sighing, I ripped the piece of paper out of the notebook and balled it up, missing the garbage can when I threw it.
"Oh, sounds nice. What's it about?"
"Why do you care?"
He smirked slightly, getting a little closer to me. "You're right. I don't care. So how's about we leave this place and go do something fun?"
I arched an eyebrow at him, confused. "I thought you hated me."
"Why would I hate you? You're such a pretty girl. Obviously I wouldn't hate you. You're smart and neat and-"
"You know I'm dating Ozzy. You're just trying to take me away from him. I know you by now, Bill. You disgust me. Now leave me alone."
"Alright, alright. Fine. Whatever. Just don't come crying to me if Ozzy breaks up with you. That's not my fault," He whispered, standing up and going upstairs. I followed, only to be seen by Tony and Geezer. They greeted me. They were always so nice.
"When on earth did you get here?" Tony asked.
"Well, I've been here for like, ten minutes. Downstairs. You two must've not noticed me when I arrived," I said. "I haven't been here for a while though."
"Ah. And where's Bill going?"
I glanced to the door where an angry looking Bill was exiting, and I shrugged. "I have no idea, and I don't really care. He's a creep. He tried to ask me on a date,"
Tony's eyes widened. "When?"
"About five minutes ago. He was downstairs with me. Then I told him that he knew I was dating Ozzy and he got all weird. That's probably why he left. Where is Ozzy, now that I mention him?"
The guys both shrugged. "He's most likely on his way. Ozzy's always running late," Geezer replied. "He's not the best with time. You probably already know that though," As I nodded, the glass door swung open, and, standing there in a pair of jeans and a colorful tank top, was Ozzy. His hair was all frizzy today, probably from the humidity. "Ah, there's the man of the hour!" Geezer exclaimed as he caught sight of Ozzy. "Nice getup."
"Thanks. It was the only thing I had that was clean, I haven't done my laundry yet this week,"
"I was being sarcastic." Geezer snickered. As he began walking down to the studio, he called all of us after him. "Come on, we have some music to write."

As I continued ripping lined paper out of my notebook, balling it up, and throwing it at the garbage can, I took a big sigh and threw the notebook against the wall.
(God damn it I can't think of anything to write)
"This sucks. I'm having writer's block," I groaned, pushing the bangs out of my face. As I plopped down onto the leather couch in the corner of the room, Tony walked over to me, guitar in hand."It's okay. Don't worry. You don't have to worry about writing anything now. You've got, what? Maybe thirty poems in there? That's enough songs for four, maybe five albums depending on how long each song is. Now, come on. Geezer and I are trying to figure out how the diamond volcano song should go,"
As I adjusted myself on the couch, I glanced at his guitar before giving my instructions. "I want it kind of mystical in the beginning, like I want it to fade in with like a synthesizer. Kinda like how Who Are You starts. And then it should, um... go into what kind of music you think you'd hear in like a dungeon. Like, creepy, but hard rock. Mysterious. But... it pulls you in. Like you want to continue listening to my music," I knew I sounded confusing, I could tell my Tony's face. "Here, you want me to show you?" Without an answer, I grabbed the guitar from his hands and started playing what sounded like the background music to a Dungeons and Dragons video game. As Tony stared at me, he smiled.
"Marie, if you can play the guitar... then you can write your music and we can play it for you. I mean of course we'll help you write your music, but... wow. You have a hidden talent. Ozzy sure is lucky to have you, isn't he?"
"Yeah, I guess... okay. So... help me think of how to write this. You said you were working on the volcano song?" Now that my spirits were lifted, I felt happier. I had taken guitar lessons when I was seventeen, but hadn't played until just then. I thought I totally forgot, but, I guess once I saw the guitar, it all came back. And if Tony thought I was good, then I was good. "So, what do you have so far?" I asked.
"Well, for the middle part Tony said he wants a solo. I'm down with that," Geezer replied. "It'll sound cool. Are you okay with that?"
"Just as long as you make it sound great. I'll have to work on writing some songs tonight or something. And I need a backup band if I get famous," I said, giggling.
"Don't you know a few people who're waiting to be in a band or something?" Ozzy added, looking at Tony. "They could be in her band,"
"Yeah, I know a few people. It'll obviously be a short time thing though, you'll have to find some real band members if you actually become famous. But this could work," As Tony grabbed his guitar, he began playing at random, and what I heard sounded amazing.
"Hey, what was that?" I asked, stunned.
"Sometimes I just like to jam. It's when I just play whatever I feel. Why, did you-"
"I want that to be the beginning of the volcano song."
Tony shot me a dumbfounded look. "Marie, I just-"
"I don't care. That was cool. Write it down! I loved that! I like the way you think, Tony. You're a cool guy. You're really swell,"
"W-well, I... I'm not anything special," I noticed a slight blush in his cheeks, and I stopped myself from complimenting him.
(Does he think I'm flirting with him
He knows I'm dating Ozzy
Maybe I'm flirting and I don't even know it
Well Ozzy seems to not care so I guess he gets that I'm just being nice)After awkwardly blushing for a few seconds, Tony quickly started to scribble notes and words onto a piece of staff printed paper, so I could replicate what he just played. "Okay. So I wrote it down for you... it's a few bars. Learn it, and maybe write the rest of the song while you're at it. And, don't forget to jam. When you jam, you might hear something you like. And that can go into a song. Don't be afraid to play at random. As you can see, it leads to great results," He folded the paper and handed it to me, and I slipped it into my pocket.
"Thank you," I said. "Maybe someday I'll be like you guys. Successful and famous."
