"How do I intrigue you?" I bravely asked, which made him look deeper to my eyes.

"I can't figure out what you're going to do. I can't understand you and I don't like not understanding things." Harry explained with the suble impatience he had when talking to me.

He looked desperate and confused about my existence and it got me confused the way he acted, to say, at least.

"So,  I'm a thing to you?"I remarked, mad at the fact he just called me a thing."You vampires think we're things? Do you think so highly of yourselves?"

"Thea, we are stronger than you and, in reality, I could kill you right here, right now and you wouldn't even feel a thing, unless, of course, I wanted you to feel me draining you of your precious blood." His voice was low and threatening.

"Then if you can kill me why won't you do it? Why would you keep saving me?Why are you always mad? I'm not afraid of you, Harry. Now, let me go."

Surprisingly, he did let me go without protesting.

"That's what is going to get you killed." He simply said. "That attitude of 'I'm not afraid of nobody'." He mocked my voice, but there was a hint of preocupation coming from him.

"Whatever. Are you going to show me the rest of the house or not?"

We continued to walk as he showed me around the house and everytime he would talk I noticed that he was tense due to the clenching of his jaw.

After a few minutes of walking in that maze of hallways I started to hear an argument, between Stefan and some other guy that I didn't recognize his voice, in the study room, which I'm sure Harry had been listening for quite a while by now.

"Enter this room and don't make a noise, okay?" He whispered as he indicated a door next to the one the voices came from.

"Why?" I whispered back.

"Please, don't argue with me on this. It's for your safety." He warned me, his cold green look becoming softer.

I simply nodded and went to the room. I looked back to see him one last time and he was there giving me a reassuring gaze.

After I closed the door, I took around the room and sat on the bed, trying not to make too much noise.

The bedroom was quite plain and big, it's was a guy's room, for sure. The white wall, in which there was a window, contrasted with the brown ones. The furniture was modern and sofisticated, it was all made of dark wood.

There was a single photograph on that room that gave away its' owner. It was Harry and Noah smiling.

Bet it was Harry's bedroom due to the fact it was the biggest bedroom in the house, the masters. It couldn't be Noah's because he was more welcoming, in terms of personality, than Harry.

I began to hear Harry talking but I couldn't make out what was being said. I decided to lean my hear to the wall to hear the conversation better.

"Don't you think it's funny how Josh disappeared suddendly and without a trace, Harry?" An older man spoke, venom dripping from his voice.

Oh shit.

"Look I don't know what you're talking ab-" Harry was interrupted and all I heard next was something breaking.

"Bullshit! You know what I'm talking about. One other thing do you know the girl that's causing quite a stir with the King?"

Now they're talking about me.
