luke told calum the news, the bad news.
calum didn't know how to react really, a big sadness had filled his body afterwards along with tears filling his brown eyes.
it couldn't be possible, were they worth this? what did they do to deserve this; losing the other?

"i have to tell you something," luke said as calum wiped the blondes tears away. "the doctors, i don't remember their names, they told me that i have two weeks left."

calum's heart stopped beating for a second, realising what luke just said. it was as if everything paused, luke had to lie, this couldn't be the truth?
calum hadn't realised he was crying until luke used his thumb to wipe the tears away. "it's okay," he told him, as if it was nothing. "it's okay."

"i'll stay here until those two weeks have passed, i promise." calum managed to say, before he broke down into tears, and he felt so stupid. he would stay alive, luke wouldn't.
