Before the first chirp of a bird's morning song echoed throughout the silent forest, before the first ray of golden light peeked over the horizon, Laiya and her friends were gathered together to say their final farewells to their herd before their journey begun. Family and friends squeezed through the dense crowd to get a glimpse of the brave deer willing to make this journey in the first place. While some grasped the travelers, others prayed to their ancestors for a successful journey. Even with the commotion of frantic goodbyes, there seemed to be an eerie silence looming in the darkened forest. Finally, a booming voice broke the silence. Everyone froze and gazed at the source of the loud voice.

"Dawn is almost upon us. The time for these brave, young deer to journey to the unfamiliar land of abundant clovers is drawing near. Hopefully their valient efforts will be rewarded in the end. I wish them the best of luck on their perilous journey" Cheif Oak announced, turning his head to the group of deer standing before him. A few minutes later, he turned his head back to the crowd and prepared to speak again.

"Laiya, Alan, Gabby, Plano, Nicole, and Cyan, Good luck!" He roared. "Also, Oak and Iris will be going along to show the young deer the way. Good luck to Oak and Iris!" Everyone cheered one more time for the courageous deer. Part of the traveling group looked unsure about the journey, while the others looked determined. As soon as the joyous cheers ended, a glowing orb of bright orange began rising into the sky. The travelers turned towards sunrise, as Iris instructed them too, and soon were out of the clearing and on their way.

Authors note:

Sorry for the lateness and the shortness of this chapter. I was kinda having writers block and just needed a transitional chapter to get into the journey. Once again, sorry this chapter was so short and late :T
