Louis' POV

*Near the end of the drive*

We were a few streets away from home and I was still not talking to Deepika. Although I was not actually upset, I just wanted to see if Deepika could deal with my difficult side but it seemed like she was winning. Deepika hadn't even attempted to make conversation with me throughout the drive and it was tempting me to talk to her.

The car came to a standstill and that's when I realised that we were at home now. Deepika unlocked the doors and removed her seatbelt before she turned around on her seat to face Lucas and turn the TV off. She unbuckled him and then opened his door so that he could get out. I also got out of the car before Deepika could and I headed for my house, completely forgetting to wait for the others. I knocked on and my mum answered the door.

"Louis, you're home!" She squealed before pulling me into a tight hug.

"Mum!" I yelled in excitement.

"Deepika, darling is that you?" My mum asked as she came out of the doorway.

She walked to Deepika, forgetting about me, and pulled her into a hug as well.

"Hi Johannah," Deepika said.

"Have you two come together?" Mum gasped.

Deepika nodded and my mum started smiling in happiness.

"I'll just drop Louis' bag off and then put mine at home; I'll be back soon," Deepika said as she placed my bag in the doorway.

We made brief eye contact as Deepika turned around to collect her own bags but she instantly looked away and headed straight for her car again. My mum and I watched as she pulled her huge suitcase out of the car boot and carried to her house, whilst holding Lucas' hand with her free hand.

She rung the doorbell before taking Lucas' hand back into hers. We waited for the door to open and when it did, I saw a lad around about our age at the door; I was fuming at this point because I saw the look he was giving her, even though she was oblivious to it.

"Lets go in Louis," my mum said, shoving me into our house and so I was out of earshot of this conversation.

"So how have you all been?" I asked.

"Wonderful," mum replied.

Deepika's POV

"Hello beautiful," my cousin answered the door.

"What the hell, I'm your cousin," I exclaimed, whacking him with my suitcase.

"Damn, I was waiting for my girlfriend but something ugly showed up," he sassily replied.

"Sameer, you're lucky you've even got a girlfriend; is she blind? Now be a gentleman and take my suitcase inside," I instructed.

He groaned as he picked up my suitcase and put it at the bottom of the stairs for me to take up later.

"How have you been Lucas?" Sameer asked, pinching Lucas' cheeks.

"I've been good, and you?" Lucas replied politely.

"I'll be a lot better now that you are here."

Sameer picked Lucas up and carried him into the living room where I was greeted by the sight of all of my close relatives. I quickly greeted everybody, including my parents, before rushing over to where my cousins and their friends were sat, on the other side of the room.

"Deepika!" My cousin, Priyanka, squealed in delight.

"Priyanka!"

"It's only Deepika," Sameer said coyly.
