“Um? Hi my name is Lindsey Griffon… I’m with your brother, Marcel?” a girl said slowly.
“Oh hang on. I’m not his brother. I’m his brother’s friend.” Niall told the girl. “Hey, Harry. There’s a girl calling from Marcel’s phone and I think she wants to talk to you.”
Harry paused the video game he and Louis were playing and went to take the phone from Niall. “This is Harry. What’s going on?” he asked.
“My name is Lindsey. I’m sitting in the nurse’s office with your brother. He got beat up something awful.” she told Harry.
“He got what?” he said slowly, as if he hadn’t heard her right.
“He got beat up on the way to class. There were some boys waiting in the hallway and they pretty much just jumped him.” she said quietly.
Harry got up from the bed and grabbed his jacket. “Tell him I said to stay home until I get back. I’m going to get on the next flight there.” Harry told her. “Thanks for calling me.”
Niall grabbed his own jacket. “I’m coming to, Harry.” he said quietly.
Harry just nodded. “Tell the others something came up and I had to go home.” he told Louis. “And that Niall came to keep me company on the way.”
Louis nodded and swallowed a lump in his throat. Harry pulled Niall out by the arm, calling the nearest airport as he did. “I need you to hold the next flight to the United Kingdom… It’s an emergency. My brother’s hurt and I need to get there…” he told the airport worker.
“Can I ask who thinks they are so important they are a good reason to hold a flight to another country?” the woman asked.
“I’m not the important one! That’s my little brother one the other side of the world in pain!” he told her, getting in a taxi. “O'Hare International Airport. Step on it.”
“Can I ask your name, sir?” the woman said.
“My name is Harry Styles. I need two tickets for the next flight to the United Kingdom.”
“And who is coming with you, Harry Styles?” she asked, mockingly.
“Niall.” he said calmly, leaning back against the seat of the taxi cab.
Niall took the phone from his hand. “Hello? Ma’am? We can pay for the tickets as soon as we get to the airport. All we need is to be able to board the plane right after we get all of it cleared. We don’t have any bags with us. Just our bodies and phones.” he told the worker.
“We’ll hold the flight for twenty minutes.” she replied.
“We’re thirty away.” Niall told her.
“Thirty five then.”
“We’ll be there.”
The cab driver glanced in the rear view mirror at them and then back to the road. “What’s the rush, boys?” he asked.
“My brother got injured and I’m just trying to get back to England.” Harry said, taking his phone back from Niall when he was done talking to the airport worker.
