The Afterlife

Raven sat there with Beast Boy in her lap. She had stopped crying, she was numb now. All the Titans sat around her, not saying a word. Their friend lay there dead n front of them, was this really how it was supposed to be? They all knew the risks, but they never thought it would actually happen. They were the Teen Titans, they were supposed to be invincible, untouchable, they were supposed to be able to over come anything.

But the death of a team mate would be hard. Could the move on? Or would they sit there forever in disbelief. Raven shook her head, she shook the tormenting thoughts away and got to her feet

"This isn't supposed to happen" She said pacing back and forth "We beat my father once, we can do it again" She looked down at Beast Boy, her heart sank into her stomach. She knew what had to ben done.

"How? BB is dead" Cyborg said numbly.

"Not for long" Slade said walking up to them. They all tore their attention away and looked at him "Raven can bring him back" He said looking over at her.

Raven nodded and sat by Beast Boy. She remembered reading about bringing people back from the dead, but to do that you had to get to the afterlife without dying. If you managed to do that you then would have to look for the lost soul and guide them back to their body, then return to their bod before another spirit took it over. Raven had practiced this a few times, she knew how to make it to the afterlife, but she didn't know if she could get back this time.

"I can bring him back" She said looking at them "But you'll need to almost kill me, then protect our bodies as I'm searching for him." She decided to leave out the part that she could die in the process as well.

Robin stood up and walked over to them "Are you sure?" He asked looking at her. Raven nodded and walked over to Beast Boy, she laid down beside him and closed her eyes. She held her breath and hoped for the best. She heard Cyborg readying his cannon.

A white haze woke her up. She sat up and looked around dizzily, her head hurt. She stood up and realized where she was, she began looking around. She walked for a long time before she even found a soul, it was of a little girl/ She shook herself and continued walking, she wanted Beast Boy. She saw demons walking in the shadows, stalking her, waiting for a hint to where her body was. She bit down on her bottom lip and continued on.

She began to find more and more souls, but none were Beast Boy. She sighed and threw up her hood, or what was left of it. She stopped and closed her eyes, she focused on the image of Beast Boy and felt an energy pulling her to the left, she followed aimlessly and hoped that it was Beast Boy she really was tracking.

Beast Boy sat there, he knew he was dead. He looked around wondering where he was, he sighed and curled up into a ball. He missed Raven, he wished she were there. He felt himself crying again. He didn't want to be alone, he wanted to be with Raven. He stood up and screamed her name at nothing, he pulled his hair in frustration and sat back down.

He wad about to scream again but a sound caught his attention. He looked up to see a large demons staring down at him, blood dripped from its massive jaws. He screamed and crawled back away from it, but the demon came closer and closer. He growled and turned into a lion, he was about the same size as the demon now. He roared and charged at him, the demon moved and bit his side. Beast Boy screamed out and clawed the demons side. It screeched backed away as black liquid oozed out of the gash. Beast Boy readied himself and charged again, this time he knocked the demon to its side and bit down hard on its neck until he heard it snap. He backed away and transformed back into his normal form. He was gasping for air and crying at the same time. He didn't want to be there.

More demons started to make their way towards him. He let out a roar of anger and transformed into a t-rex. He stood there and waited for them to come.
