Chapter 13 - Mom Alert!

Jaslene POV

EVERYBODY,literally EVERYBODY, was looking at me. I was holding hands with Max and I can hear his giggle every second. 

He was enjoying this a whole lot. I frowned as I saw a girl take a picture on her phone and laughing. 

"This is not fair! I've only been out for 15 minutes and people are staring!" I whispered angrily to Max.

He shrugged his shoulders and smirked, "Too bad, ya lost the bet,". Ugh! I want to rip him up and throw him the Saharah Desert. 

After a few more stares and laughs, we decided to walk back into our cabin. May walked over to us,"Hey guys! Max, your moms here and is in your cabin waiting for you," she chriped. I could swear that it's gonna be kind of hard to make May upset since she's always happy.

Max takes a deep breath and frowns. I nudge him on the shoulder, "What's wrong?,"

"Nothing really, it's just my mom can be a bit rude to new guests," He answered, squeezing my hand. I smiled and nodded.

Max POV

Mom, please don't ruin things between Jaslene and I. 

We walk inside our cabin, noticing Mom sitting down on my bed, looking at the pictures of Jaslene and I. I took a deep breath, still holding Jas hand.

"Hi Mom," I murmured. Mom turned around and smiled, "Hi Maxxy,"

Jaslene POV

I shot a quick glance at Max's mom and noticed who she really was. 

"OMG! YOUR RUBY KENDALL!!," I sceamed. 

Max and Ruby shot me a "wow your slow" look.

I calmed myself down and answered, "Sorry got a little carried away."

Ruby looked at me, up and down, and said, "You must be Jaslene," in a weird tone. I nodded my head and realized why she was looking at me weird. 

"Oh this, this is just a little dare that Max and I did, I don't really dress like this," I replied quickly and grabbed my clothes. 

I gave Max a "why didn't you tell me" lok and ran inside the bathroom.

Max POV

"So Max, you gave up your precious chance to be with Ally Baker, the most famous business man's daughter for That?," Mom asked, pointing to the bathroom in which Jaslene is in. 

"Mom, for the last time, Jaslene and I are happy together, I won't give her up just because of Ally Baker's dad who gives you millions every year," I whispered, walking over to my bed. 

"I just want you to have a good life, that's what every mother wishes her kids to have!," She answered.

"Well, I am, just the way my life is, I don't want to be known as Ruby and Jake Kendall's son, the parents who owns 5 world most famous jewelry shops!," I answered back.

She took a deep breath. "Do you hear yourself? This useless girl changed you like this! I don't even know what gotten into me when I had promisd to let you join this stupid camp! You were never like this and would never use that tone at me,"

I stood up, "That's because I had always been the good little boy who listens to his parents and never got to do what he wants! You want me to join Harvard? Ok, I will. You want me to run dad's 5 shops when he retires? Ok, I will. But Jaslene and I will be together til the very END," I exclaimed. 

Mom looked away and took deep breaths.

Jaslene POV

Tears streamed down my face and into my shirt. I had overheard their conversation. My back leaned on the bathroom door. I covered my mouth and cried silently. 

"I will see you next time, tell her I said hi," Ruby said, as I hear her heels leave the cabin. I wipe away all my tears and left the bathroom. 

"Hey, what did I miss?," I smiled happily. Max shot a smile back and said, "Nothing really, and my mom said Hi".

I nodded my head. I felt pain in my lungs,throat,hands,arms, and especially my heart. I couldn't believe that Max is doing this for us to be together. It kills me that I'm the reason why Max and Ruby argued.

Max POV

Hopefully Jazzy didn't hear our argument. "So whatcha wanna eat tonight,?" I asked, breaking the silence. 

Jaslene looked at me, "Anything, you want,"  I smirked, "someone's being a good girl today,".

She giggled and touched my face. "Don't get use to it,"

Max POV

I decided on the nearest McDonalds, since I have no clue on where to eat at. Jaslene was quiet the whole 15 minute walk here. 

I sighed.

Jaslene POV

I just don't know what to say. Max and I were in the cabin, he was playing video games, while I read a book.

Should I tell him that I overheard the argument? Or should I just pretend that nothing happened...But I can't pretend that nothing happened! I heard Ruby's firm words...

        *Flashback*

"So Max, you gave up your precious chance to be with Ally Baker, the most famous business man's daughter for That?," - Ruby

"Mom, for the last time, Jaslene and I are happy together, I won't give her up just because of Ally Baker's dad who gives you millions every year," - Max

I took a deep breath, replaying Max's words in which in echoes in my head. 

"That's because I had always been the good little boy who listens to his parents and never got to do what he wants! You want me to join Harvard? Ok, I will. You want me to run dad's 5 shops when he retires? Ok, I will. But Jaslene and I will be together til the very END," - Max

Max's words will always be in my heart. Whether were together....or not.
