Max POV

I jumped out of my sleeping bag. I looked over at Jaslene and changed into my clothes quickly.

I walk outside at this early 8am wake up call from Ken.

I walk to a nearby breakfast restaurant and walk in.

"Hello Sir," I said, sitting down.

"You're on time," Ken smiles. I nodded my head.

"All Im gonna do is ask some questions, so relax," He said, laughing.

I smiled. "Hows Jess-Jaslene?" Ken ask. "Shes good, she relaxed," I answered.

Ken nodded his head. "Shes really mad huh?," He replied, frowning.

I nodded my head. "Well, I hope you treat her well forever and always," Ken said, looking at me.

I was confused. "Wait, you're just gonna give up your chance to reunite with Jaslene?" I ask.

He cleared his throat. "I have cancer, I dont have much time left, and seeing her last night was one of my wishes,"

I felt bad for Ken. I looked at him. "What are your wishes?," I ask.

Ken smiles. "Is to hear Jaslene call me Dad once, before I leave this world. And is for her to have a happy life," He answered.

I nodded my head.

"Well, I better get going for my doctors appointment," Ken said, standing up.

"Wish you the best," I replied, standing up. Ken nodded his head and left.

Jaslene POV

Where is he?! Im hungry lol.

I look outside the tent and saw nothing but trees and our stuff.

I see Max walking back carrying a takeout bag and a letter.

"Yay im so hungry!," I chriped, getting the takeout bag. Max didnt answer. "Whats wrong?," I ask, worried.

"Nothing, just eat and when your done just read this letter," He replied, and went for a walk. I nodded my head, still curious.

After I had finished my food, I opened up the letter.

*Letter*

Hello Jaslene, How have you been this past 11years? I just want to say Im really sorry of what I had done 11 years ago. But as a Father, he would obviously care about his childrens life...

Well, all i want to say I really hope you can forgive me. Last Night was my final night to see how you are. You have become a gorgeous young girl. And im proud of who you are today. I dont blame you or being mad at me, but Im just hoping for forgiveness by you. I hope you have a happy life with your loved ones. I made the biggest mistake 11years ago and I will make it up to you in my next life. Goodbye Jaslene,

-Your Loving Dad

I grasped the letter, tight in my hands. I watch as my tears drop onto the letter.

Max walked in and see me. "What does he mean final night?Another life?," I exclaimed, coughing and crying.

He took a deep breath. Tears were forming his eyes also. "He has cancer," He said.

My eyes froze, I can see myself where I am 11 years ago. All the memories I had with Dad.. "No,No, call a taxi now!!," I yelled getting out of the tent.

Max nodded his head and ran to get his phone.

We were on our way to the hospital. Max has ask Dad for the hospital name.

We arrived and I ran out of the car, Max following behind me.

"Ken, the one who has cancer. Im her daughter, which room," I ask, quickly at the receptionist.

"Jaslene, calm down," Max said, calming me down. I took a deeo breath. "Room #20," The receptionist said. I ran and I can hear Max thanking her.

When I got to the room #, I see a doctor come out. "How is he?," I ask the doctor. "He fought a long battle. But, im sorry," the doctor answered.

I began crying again. "Hes still awake, but not for long," The doctor said, shaking his hand.

I walk inside the room. Dad was lying on the bed. He opened up his eyes. "Jaslene," He said.

I wiped away my tears. "Im so sorry for everything," Dad answered. He held out his hand.

I looked at it. "Dad, please, dont leave me, you left for 11 years, i dont want you to leave again," I said, holding his hands.

He smiled. "I have waited 11 years for you to call me Dad again," He said.

Max walks in and looks at us.

"Max, come here please," Dad said.
