Chapter 9:
The next task.
Amber's pov:
After explaining the whole Harry situation to Blaise and Draco, I head off to bed. Rebecca is still up, probably waiting for me to tell her everything.
"Hey!" I say as I enter the room.
"Where've you been?" She asks.
"Dumbledore's office, had to tell him about what happened in the graveyard." I reply.
"What did you say?" She questions.
"Just that I'm not a loyal follower, and that it wasn't my fault. He bought it" I say.
"Good. Imagine if Dumbledore knew about us all, how awful would that be?" She says shocked.
"Very. I'm gonna just get changed, I'm fairly tired."
I go into the bathroom with my pyjamas and change. I look in the mirror at my reflection. My eyes are swollen from crying, and my eye makeup has run down my pale cheeks.
"Oh god, I don't half look awful!" I say to myself, taking a makeup wipe and scrubbing at my face.
Once I'm changed, I put on my pyjamas and exit the bathroom. Rebecca is sat on her bed with her owl.
"Dear mum and dad.
Congratulations on tonight. Amber told me. She's a little down about Cedric dying but I think she'll get over it." She says whilst writing.
"YOU CAN'T SAY THAT" I practically scream.
"Why?" she replys.
"Hello, Voldemort intercepts our mail now. He sees everything." I say tearing up the letter.
"Fine. I'll start again." She says taking a new piece of parchment.
I smile and go over to my bed, where I myself have a letter. My family owl is sat on my bed looking smugly at me.
"Ouch, bloody bird!" I cry, yanking my finger away from Derek.
Strange name for an owl, I know. I was four when I chose its name.
"Dear Amber.
Well done tonight. Voldemort has been praising you for bringing Potter to him. However, he is still furious and curious as to why he could not kill Potter.
Meet us in Malfoy Manor with Draco, Vincent, Gregory, Blaise, and Rebecca this Saturday.
Love from father x" I say aloud.
"Ooh, we're going to your boyfriend's house. Wonder what we're wanted for!" Rebecca says.
"Probably just death eater stuff." I reply.
I walk out of my dorm to Draco's, about to tell him and the other boys the news.
"Amber!" I hear from behind me.
"Ah, I was just looking for you!" I say, turning to see Blaise.
"Why?" he asks.
I hand him the parchment and tell him to show the others.
"See you tomorrow Blaise!" I smile before hugging him.
"Bye Amb." he replys.
Draco's pov:
Blaise had informed me of everyone meeting in my house this Saturday, but why? Father didn't owl me anything until I got home and had to ask why we were all here.
