"So he's just some random thief who comes and warns people about their stuff getting stolen? Doesn't that do the opposite of what he's supposed to be doing!" I shout to Muffy who was pouring me another glass of wine.
"Beats me, but what ever he does it works for him." She replied, as she leaned on the counter. "I'm just worried about here, as he did leave a note for me and Griffin."
"He left a note! Why didn't you tell me, I can help you. I need to give him a piece of my mind now anyways." I slammed my fists on the table.
"Claire Hun, it's going to take a lot more than you to get him out of his ways. He's a thief, he's going to steal even if you like it or not."
"Well-" I was cut off.
"I suppose I can let you stay here and wait for him tonight. I don't know what time he's coming. So I'd be here a little bit early. Griffin and I'll need the help catching him." She smirks at me.
"Alrighty, thank you. When I see him, he's sure going to have what's coming to him." I get up and walk out the door, now all I have to do is wait till nightfall.
A few hours pass and I got to the bar. Muffy and Griffin are waiting for me.
"We have no sign of him so maybe he's a no show?" "I doubt it he probably has some trick up his sleeve." Minutes pass and still no sign of him.
"Muffy and I'll go search around, you stay here incase he shows." Griffin and Muffy leave the building, I sit on a bar stool. I began to think "maybe he isn't coming?" till heard a door open, there he was. I roll my eyes at him.
"Oh, who do we have here? My fair maiden again? Two nights in a row? Maybe we are destined for one another." He laughs.
"Don't try that on me I don't believe in destiny." I stand up and take a few steps toward him. "I just want to know why you stole from me and all the other towns people. Is there even a point?" He smiles, and stops me in my tracks. Great, that made it harder for me.
He ruffles his silver hair, his green-blue eyes observing me. As if his whole demeanor changed. "I don't know, maybe you do have a point." He laughs as he rummaged through the cabinets.
"What do you mean you don't know? Do you not know anything about the world?" I ask in confusion.
"Maybe I need someone to teach me. That is if that a certain somebody ever catches me." He winked.
"Are you offering a challenge?" I ask.
"Maybe I am? But sadly our conversation must come to an end as your friends are returning, so I got to jet. Farewell." He barged out of the bar and moments later Muffy and Griffin return. I was able to move again by then.
"Great he stole a few bottles, it'll put us back but not too bad." Griffin spoke as he look at his stock.
"So what happened?" Muffy asked.
"He stopped me, so that didn't help any." I replied.
"No need to be angry, I thank you for your help anyway." Muffy said as she sent me back home. The only thing on my mind now was his "challenge" he offered me.
