(This chapter is going to be pretty short since I wanted to include a POV change. Don't worry though I'm going to go back to Claire next chapter.)
Skye's POV:
"Should I really be doing this?" I ask myself as I look down at the box in my arms. She already told me that she didn't want anything to do with me and here I am trying to give her flowers.
As I reached Claire's farm, I walked up to the door. My stomach felt like it was full of butterflies. I've never felt this way about any girl before, usually they were just people that I'd flirt with then rob them blind, not even feeling a thing. However, with her it's different. I can't bring myself to do anything to her. Why?
I stopped dead in my tracks. For some reason I couldn't get myself to do this. I litterally talked to her face-to-face not long ago, but I can't knock on her door and give her flowers? What kind of a man am I? It's natural to have the nervousness I suppose? I never really thought about it until now. I suppose I should just leave it here, she'd probably just get angry with me, yell some witty remarks and tell me to leave. I honestly don't want to have that happen to me... it would probably actually hurt me more than anything.
I knock on the door then dart for the nearby woods. I quickly duck behind a thick berry bush and peak through it to see Claire stepping out of her house. At first she was confused, that was until she looked down and grabs the box and opens it. As she held the tulips in her hands, her expression was that of pure joy. Maybe I should have gave it to her personally? It's too late now, I guess all things happen for reasons. I shouldn't get too caught up on it. I smile and head back towards the main town, I should get back to scouting out all the potential loot.
