Chapter 20- Earlybird Couples

Karma's POV

"Get your lazy ass up now!" Someone screamed in my ear.

"Aaaaaa!" I jolted up, but ended up falling on the cold floor, flat on my face. I looked up to see Louis laughing his ass off. I glared daggers at him.

"Mornin' sunshine." He said. He pulled me up.

"What the fuck was that for?!" I yelled at his face.

"That my dear, was your wake up call. Now hurry up and get ready for our date. I already picked out your outfit." He said, then left the room. I rolled my eyes. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I was too tired and lazy so I just put my hair up on a messy bun. I walked over to my dresser, where Louis laid out my outfit. It was a pink sports bra, grey leggings with a pink stripe going down the leg, and blue tennis shoes. I quickly slipped them on and walked out of my room. I entered the living room and it was empty. I saw that it was pitch black outside. What the fuck? I checked the microwave clock. 4:30 am!

"Hello sweetheart." Louis walked into the kitchen.

"Why did you make me get up at 4:30 in the morning?!" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Because, this is our date. A nice morning jog and then breakfast at a cafe." He told me as if it were obvious. I sighed and grabbed an apple.

"Alright ready?" He asked, tying his shoes.

"Yup. Try to keep up." I smirked, then ran out the door.

"Hey! No fair!" I heard Louis call behind me. I laughed. I jogged past a couple houses and came across the park. I stopped to take a water break. I saw Louis dragging himself towards me.

"How you doing over there, Princess Louise?" I called.

"I am not a girl! If anything, you're a boy!" He panted.

"Oh, so you're gay?" I smirked.

"What? No uh. Oh shut up!" He blushed. I laughed and he pretended to be fake hurt.

"Can we take a break?" Louis breathed.

"Nope. It's your fault for waking me up at 4:30 in the morning. So we're going to run until the cafe opens in," I checked my watch, "2 hours." I smiled.

"Noooooo!" Louis said, dramatically staring at the sky. I burst out laughing.

"Alright alright. I know a cafe that opens super early. It should be open by now. C'mon." I started jogging down the street, Louis groaning behind me. After about 5 minutes, it finally came into view.

"Here it is!" I yelled behind me. Louis finally caught up with me.

"This? But it doesn't even look fancy!" Louis complained.

"Oh c'mon! It may be old, but they have the best coffee cake." I walked up to the door and opened it. I was immediately hit with the smell of coffee and fresh strawberries.

"Hello- oh my! Karma is that you?" An elderly lady asked.

"Yup that's me Belle." I replied.

"Oh come and give me a hug." She said, coming over to me. I gave her a big hug. Belle was the owner of the cafe. I've known her practically my whole life. She was like a grandmother to me. I used to help out here while I was really young. I would clean the display cases and deliver the customers' coffee. It was a blast.

"Who's this dear?" She asked, pointing to Louis. "Is he your boyfriend?"

"Oh um." I looked at my feet.

"Why yes I am. I'm Louis." Louis said. He stuck his hand out.

"Oh none of that. Come here." She went and hugged him. He hugged her back, lightly.

"Well what can I do for you?" She asked.

"Can we have two coffees and a slice of your famous coffee cake?" I asked.

"Of course dear. At the moment I don't have any out. Why don't you make some? Do you still remember the recipe?"

"Every single one." I smiled.

"Great. All the ingredients are in the back." She said, and walked back to the counter where she continued making fruit tarts.

"C'mon Louis." I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my old apron that still hung on the hook. I tied it in the back and walked over to the fridge. I grabbed all the ingredients and preheated the oven. I poured in the ingredients and began to mix.

"You look so sexy when you bake." Louis randomly blurted out. I chuckled. He came up behind me and put his arms under mine. He set one hand on the bowl and the other on my hand. He began gliding my hand in circular motions. I smiled and he kissed my jaw.

"Karma have you seen my-" I heard Belle's voice, but then she stopped. We turned around to see her smirking.

"Belle!" I shouted. She chuckled before walking out. Louis chuckled. I poured the ingredients into a pan and stuck it in the oven.

"It should be ready in 30 minutes. So what do you want to do in the mean time?" I asked.

"I don't know. I kinda liked what we were doing earlier." He said and put his hands on my hips. He leaned down to kiss my lips, but another voice interrupted us.

"Hey Karma! Heard you were back!" A male voice said. A tall boy with raven black hair and blue eyes walked in.

"Noah?" I was shocked. Noah was my ex-boyfriend from when I worked here. That was only a few years back that I stopped working here and we broke up.

"Karma! I haven't seen you in forever! What are you doing here at the cafe?"

"I just decided to stop by. So do you still work here?" I asked.

"Yeah! Who's this?" He asked, glaring a little at Louis. The oven beeped.

'Thank God!' I said in my head. I opened the oven and pulled it out. It smelled so good. I turned around, only to see Noah's fist colliding with Louis' jaw.

Louis' POV

Karma went to grab the cake out of the oven.

"Sup man I'm Louis." I stuck my hand out. He just glared at it.

"What are you doing with Karma?" He asked, rather harshly.

"We'll if you must know, we're on a date." I crossed my arms over my chest. He scoffed.

"As if she would go out with you." He said.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" I clenched my fists. I could feel my eyes turn red.

"You're nothing but a one night stand. You don't even love her. She shouldn't with someone like you. She needs to be with someone like me." He punched me right in the jaw.

"Louis!" Karma rushed over to me. Even though I'm a vampire and can heal faster than humans, I pretended to be hurt.

"Noah why did you do that?!" She screamed at him.

"Baby, I was just trying to defend myself. He was talking trash about me and you." He lied. Karma glanced at him, then at me. I knew she didn't believe him. Perks of being a vampire.

"Out." She said.

"Baby, don't be like that." He said.

"No. We were over. There is no us. Stop calling me baby, and get the fuck out. I never want to see you ever again." She said. He looked at her with sadness in his eyes. Then glanced at me with hatred, before walking out.

"Louis are you ok?" She began looking over my face.

"My jaw hurts." I groaned. Really, it didn't hurt one bit. She bent down and gave me a kiss on my jaw.

"Missed it." I said, and pulled her to my lips. Our lips moved in perfect sync. She reluctantly pulled away. My lips longed for hers on mine.

"Now how about some cake?" She smiled. I nodded. I got up and she started cutting the cake. She handed me a plate with the cake on it. We walked over to a table, hand in hand. Noah shot daggers at me. I just smirked at him. Belle brought us out coffees and we mumbled 'thank yous' to her. I took a bite of the cake. Sweet mama! It was like heaven in my mouth.

"Karma, this is fantastic!" I said, through a mouthful.

"Thanks. It's actually my recipe." She said proudly.

"You are a fantastic baker." I said. We sat there just talking about random things until her phone beeped.

"Oh shoot! It's already 1:00! I need to start getting ready for my date with Tommy!" She said. I growled at his name. I hated him the most out of those flea bags. She put her hand on mine and gave me a reassuring smile. I relaxed. We said 'bye' to Belle and gave her hugs before leaving. We jogged back to the house. By the time we got there, we were all sweaty and out of breathe.

"Hey guys!" Karma said quickly, before running to her room.

"How'd it go?" Harry asked.

"Good. She makes awesome coffee cake." I smiled.

Karma's POV

I ran into my bathroom and turned the shower on. I stripped out of my running clothes and let the cool water sooth my skin. I scrubbed my hair and body. I stepped out and wrapped a towel around me. I went to my closet to choose a bikini. I'm so lucky. The boys bought me a bunch of new clothes for next spring. Wait a minute. Tommy's taking me on a date. To the lake. And it's almost Christmas! That boy is crazy. I finally decided on a light blue plain bikini. Since it was so cold outside, Im bringing my fury coat too. I slipped on some sweats a black long sleeve, and Uggs. I checked the time. 1:45 pm. I should start walking over there.

"See ya boys!" I called and exited the house. I never really talk to them anymore. Ill have to remember to talk to them when I come home. The lake wasn't too far from here. It's right next to the woods behind our house. I started sprinting towards the lake. The sun was shining today, thank god, the water looked so beautiful. I saw Tommy sitting on the dock with a picnic basket.

"Tommy!" I waved. He looked at me and smiled. He stood up. My mouth fell open. He was only in his swim trunks and his abs were, oh my God!

"Tommy, how can you only be in your trunks?" I asked, amazed. It was like 1 degrees here.

"That's just me." He said. I rolled my eyes. I say down on the picnic blanket he had.

"For you milady." He said. He handed me a plate of Alfredo pasta and garlic bread. Yum. He poured me some sparkling apple cider in a wine glass.

"Cheers." He said. I laughed. He totally failed at whatever his goal was.

I felt a sharp pain in my rib.

"Ow." I winced.

"What's wrong?" He asked, worried.

"It's nothing." I shrugged it off, but he still looked concerned. I felt the same pain but in my wrists. It caused me to drop my wine glass. The pain spread up my arms and to my ribs again. I fell onto the dock I pain. My hearing went numb, but my eyesight stayed. I looked down at my hands, but only to see silver, almost blue, paws. My feet were also paws. In front of me, I could see a snout. I felt ears come out on the top of my head. The pain slowly died and my hearing returned. I could hear Tommy calming me.

"It's going to be alright. This will end soon."

What was he talking about. This must be a dream. Why do I have paws and a snout? The pain vanished.

"Karma are you alright?" Tommy asked.

"Yeah I think so. What happened?"

"You shifted for the first time." He said with a weak smile.

Shifted? I shifted into my wolf! I almost forgot I was half wolf, half vampire because I look so human. I slowly got up and walked to towards the water. I looked at my reflection. Whoa. My coat was silverish blue. My eyes were a deep violet color. On my hind leg was a patch of dark blue. It was the shape of a crescent moon. My tail was all bushy and the fur on my paws were neat and silky.

"Wow. You're beautiful. I mean your human form is beautiful, but your wolf form is, wow." He breathed. I felt myself blush. He shifted into his wolf and walked over to me until he was right in front of my face. He nuzzled his head into my neck and I did the same to him. We pulled away and he gave me an Eskimo kiss.

"Now try shifting back." He said. I focused all my energy on my human form. I shifted back. Luckily I had my bikini on underneath so I wasn't naked. Tommy stared at me with lust. I blushed even more. He shifted back and luckily he was in his trunks.

"Care for a swim?" He asked. I didn't answer, I just did a backflip into the water.

Hey guys! Busy week ahead of me. Tomorrow I will do 2 updates! Ill do one in the morning and one in the evening. I might actually do one towards midnight tonight.
