[Hey! This is my first imagine so don't judge me. I really hope you guys like it!]

Chapter 1

It was just like any other November night in London. It was quiet and peaceful, and if you listened closely, you could hear the faint sound of car horns in the distance. The dim lighting and cold, crisp air added an eerie feel, yet it wasn't uncomfortable.

Being the smart person I am, I decided to wear a strapless, lavender dress and black peep toe pumps to a party in this weather. I figured that you gotta look stylish to those type of things.

"Screw comfort!" I told myself before leaving the house. I was so wrong. That damn party was filled with drunken idiots who planned on getting it tonight. The nerve of those guys, I swear. I don't drink and I plan on keeping my virginity for a while, thank you very much.

"Im so stupid, now I'm cold!" I murmured to myself as a breeze picked up, the wind piercing its way through my leather jacket. I really regret not dressing warmer. Can't wait to get home. My house is pretty far from the party, though. A good 45 minutes walking. In the cold and heels. You can just hear the excitement! Yeah, I did consider taking a taxi, but I guess it's not every day I go on walks. Plus there might be creepers in the taxi and I'd prefer not to get kidnapped.

I passed by a lot of abandoned alleyways, each filled with homeless cats. If only I could bring home every one! I take in homeless animals and take care of the injured ones too. My mother teases me and tells me that I run a vet in the house.

The ones in an alley next to a bakery practically screamed at me to help them. Okay not really, they're cats, but they were just the cutest things! There was a mother tabby cat with beautiful, yet slightly dirty grey fur, and four kittens with the almost the same features. My heart melted at the sight of them.

As I slowly approached the family, I noticed that the mother cat was injured. Her leg was bent at an awkward angle, and there was dried blood. I came closer, careful to not startle her. She let me come closer with ease, so I knelt down and slowly reached down to pet her. She purred at my touch and a giggle slipped out, followed by a big smile across my face. I checked to see if she had a collar, but she didn't.

"Do you have a home girl?" I asked her, but she just stared.

"I'll take you in." I decided.

"I'll name you Sugarbelle." I smiled and she purred in agreement. I acknowledged her kittens who were nursing. I could tell that three of them were girls and the other was a boy. The girls each had gray soft fur and the boy had brown and white fur.

"I'll name you Ginger, Cheshey, Symi, and Cole." I said happily. They all meowed in appreciation and Sugarbelle purred. I took off my jacket and gently wrapped Sugarbelle, Ginger, Cheshey, Symi, and Cole up in my jacket. I walked out of the alley and continued home. After a while, though, I felt like someone was watching me.

I turned around, but there was no one there. Sugarbelle began to hiss as if she felt the presence too, and even the kittens began meowing non-stop. I tried to calm them down, but it was no use. So, I decided to sing one of my favorite songs to them: Clarity by Zedd ft. The Foxes.

"If our loooove is tragedy why are you my remedy?" I sang with a smile on my face. Sugarbelle and the kittens purred. Cheshey began to fall asleep, the other ones soon after. I continued to sing in a light and calming tone until I finished the song.

After I felt like I walked long enough, I decided to check my watch. 11:46. So I probably walked for thirty minutes, and spent maybe ten minutes stopping for Sugarbelle and the kittens. Good! Hopefully I'll be home in five minutes or so.

'It's getting late,' I thought. 'I should pick up the pace a bit.'

Just when I started to walk a bit faster, a sudden chill ran through my spine-- and it wasn't because of the sudden wind. I could have sworn that I heard footsteps behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. I almost fainted at the sight. There were five dark figures standing a few feet behind me and they were all... smirking?

I started to panic and ran the rest of the way home. Once I got inside, I immediately locked the door behind me. I put my back to the door and slid down trying to catch my breath. 'I hope that was just my imagination..' I thought.

"Katy Marie is that you?" Asked a familiar voice coming from the kitchen.

"Mom how many times do I have to tell you? Call me Karma. And yeah, who else would it be?" I replied with humor in my tone.

My mother walked in and saw I had brought guests.

"Awwww who are these cuties?" My mother asked. She was very supportive of my choice to help animals. She's an animal lover at heart.

"This is Sugarbelle, Ginger, Cheshey, Symi, and Cole." I said pointing to each Tabby. She smiled and pet each one. Just then Clara, my Bichon Frisée, came strutting in, along with my other adopted pets. As soon as she saw me, she came and jumped on me, telling me to pick her up. I did.

"Hi Clara. Did you miss me?" I asked in a baby voice. She licked my face and wagged her tail. Then my hamster, Mochi, came rolling through in his hamster ball. He rolled right up to my feet. I smiled as I picked up the ball. I walked into the living room where my parrot, Sammy, was sleeping. I found him by the pet store with a broken wing ,and I knew I couldn't take him to the pet store because I knew they would put him to sleep. They treat animals so cruelly. So, I brought him home and cared for his wing as much as I could.

I went up to my room and pulled out a kitty bed out of the closet; I kept a lot of pet supplies for any new animals. I set down a sleeping Sugarbelle and her babies, and changed into my I <3 Vampires pajama tank top and shorts with fangs that dripped blood printed on them. I slipped on my bunny slippers and headed downstairs to fetch some water and cat food for the next day.

When I reached the kitchen, I saw out of the corner of my eye five dark figures by the window. What the hell? I thought. I rubbed my eyes and when I opened them, the figures disappeared. Maybe I was getting tired.. Or I'm going paranoid.

OR I HAVE STALKERS WHO FOLLOWED ME FROM THE PARTY. WHAT IF THEY'RE LIKE WEREWOLVES, OR EVEN VAMPIRES PLANNING TO DRINK MY BLOOD AND ELO--

There was a sudden bark and I was immediately snapped out of my weird, Twlight-like thoughts. Julie, my white rabbit, and Clara were in a debate over who gets the couch. I giggled. I picked Clara up and put her on the other side of the black leather couch. I went upstairs and placed the food and water not too far from the kitty bed. I got ready for bed, and fell into a deep sleep, forgetting all the paranoia I had about the figures. It was probably nothing, after all.
