Chapter ten

Ok before this chapter lets chat about what just happened. Michael thought he was doing the right thing going to Ethan for help coming out, he just didn't do it the right way. Ethan panicked and told Michael the truth which Michael did not take very well, but instead of me talking about it. Let's just read it.

Michael's P.O.V

"YOU SENT ETHAN AFTER ME?" I walk into my parent's bedroom as my mother is getting ready to go out

"Excuse me?" She continues to brush her hair

"Why mom? Why him?" I stand behind her frustrated and she doesn't even bother to turn to me

"Everything I do to help you is wrong, I ran out of ways so yes I went to him and he said he'd do it"

"What'd you do threaten him?"

"I may have said some things"

"MOM SERIOUSLY DID YOU HAVE TO INVOLVE HIM IN ALL OF THIS SHIT?" I yell

"You will watch how you talk to me in my house young man" she gets up from the mirror and stands in front of me "I thought he could help you, that was my only agenda, to help you"

"Well I don't need anyone's help I'm figuring it out on my own"

She smiles walking away "name one thing you've done in your lifetime that didn't require extensive help from us Michael" I come up blank "I thought so. My job as a mother is to make sure when you fall flat on your face, I have a backup plan"

"Ethan was your backup plan?"

"Desperate times calls for desperate measures. You're losing everything Michael, can't you see that?"

"I see it clearly"

"Good! Then get your panties out of this bunch and go fix it"

"If I remember correctly it was you who said you wouldn't help me anymore"

"And you believed that? I am your mother like it or not I'm always going to help, unlike your father who's tired of you I actually want something out of life for you Michael" she comes to me holding my head "you are my only child and I love you more than the world itself I just wish I understood who you are sometimes"

"You will soon enough" she moves her hands from my head and walks into her giant closet. Once this article comes out everything is going to be better.

She walks back out "I'm heading out soon, but we're having dinner tomorrow night, will you come?"

"Highly unlikely"

"Michael you will show up to dinner" she demands

"We'll see" I turn to leave walking to the door opening it but I stop turning around "oh and please don't go after Ethan, just leave him alone"

She smiles "you like him don't you?"

"I don't"

"Don't lie to your mother Michael" she gives me that face that I can't help but tell the truth to

"Ok fine maybe I do a little bit but I doubt he'll ever want to see me again after what I did"

"What did you do?"

"It doesn't matter anymore I have to go." I leave and as I'm walking out I see my dad walking into the house

"Michael" he says my name

"Asshole" I leave without saying another word. My life is going to be so much better once I don't have to deal with my father anymore. Everyone calls what he does tough love but no it's him doing what he does best, bullying people into getting what he wants.
