I was back home! After all that had happened we came back safe and sound. Well, apart from still being birds, but we had a plan for that.
I fluttered my wings, shaking the snow off of me and stood up. Sasha wasn't far away and she had already recovered from being shot out of the portal. She saw me as well and gave me a big birdlike grin.
"Where back, we actually did it!" she screamed happily and began prancing around in the snow.
I laughed as she continued to dance around and felt as if i should join too. I was soon prancing around with her, making a complete fool of myself. It was so great to be back, although slightly sad because we had to leave Pintry behind.
"Wait, where's Tobi?" I asked as I remembered we were missing him.
"Oh yeah." Sasha said and stopped celebrating. "He better come and change us back. If he doesn't, he wont know what's coming his way when I give him my full on bird attack." She said this with a evil tone in her face as a joke and punched her wings together threateningly.
I giggled but then heard a faint swooshing sound. Out came Tobi from the portal. It didn't take long for him get up from the ground and he greeted us cheerfully. "I told you I would come!"
"I'm glad, but what took you so long?"
"Oh you know, just talked a little with Pintry and dealt with the Ice Queen." He said with a mischievous smile on his lips.
"What did you do to her?" I asked slowly.
"Pintry and I put her where she deserved is all. It was quite amusing."
"Aww, I wish we could have been there. Just to see the look on her face as you... well what ever you did to her." Said Sasha. She seemed to have a tough side to her as well, considering she enjoyed fighting the Ice Queen. I had learned quite a lot about her and everyone else while we were down there.
Tobi laughed." Well it is pretty fun to be in control of someone who's as mean as her."
"Oh, by the way. Could you turn us back now?" Sasha added.
"Oh yeah! I'll do that right now. It would be nice to talk to a human face again. Do you have the jewel?"
"Here." I said as I passed the necklace jewel. It shimmered in the sunlight. "But hold on for a minute. I want to use these wings one last time."
"That would be smart. Flying does look pretty fun." he replied
"Thanks." I smiled. "Sasha, want to fly for a bit. We'll only be birds once in our life you know."
"Sure! I'v gotten a little better at it too."Sasha agreed.
I'm glad I had that idea. Because it was the most fun i'd ever had outside! We swerved and soared for a few minutes and had so much fun. Flying was amazing. Tobi looked up at us, as he waited for us to return.
Sasha and I finished our little flying session and returned to the ground where Tobi was sitting with a smile plastered on his face.
"I wish I could fly all the time." I said dreamily.
"Me too. That would be the best." Sasha said back.
"Well, sadly you won't be able to after I turn you both back to normal." Tobi said.
"You don't have to rub it in!" I said and pouted.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." He chuckled. "Anyway, who want's to go first?"
Sasha stepped up."I will. I would like to be myself again." She paused."If only i had wings when I was a human."
"Alrighty then. Just stand in front of me and you'll back to normal in no time."
