Blue Flags

We swam out of the Moon Pool and on to the coral reef. As we swam we saw so many amazing things. Me and Alisha saw Dolphins and Ava saw a squid. While we were swimming I thought them how to turn invisible. It was a trick that I learned as a child. 

All you had to do to become invisible was to make a first and place it over your right eye. 

I showed them and we swam and swam. 

We went back to the moon pool and pulled our selves out. 

"I love being a mermaid. It's so much fun!" said Ava 

"I agree!" said Alisha 

"Want to go and explore some of the caves around Mako?" I asked 

"Sure that would be a lot of fun!" They said together 

We walked out of the moon pool and into the jungle. 

As we walk we saw a few other people cross from us. It was 3 girls who were arguing about something called the Trident. The 3 girls look really familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it. 

"None of this would never be happened if you weren't stupid enough to let him in the moon pool" said the girl with dark blonde hair 

"I told you, it wasn't my fault, he fell into the moon pool on his own" said the girl with the brown wavy hair 

"Well you should have been more careful!" said the girl with the dark blonde hair

"Lyla calm down!" said the third girl with blonde hair 

"I am calm" said Lyla

"Dose not seem like it" said the brown headed girl 

"Nixie shut up it was you and your loud mouth that got us in this situation in the first place!" said Lyla 

"Well I'm sorry for trying to get us back in the pod" screamed Nixie

"Whats a Pod?'' Ava whispered to me

"It's a large group of mermaids that live in an area together" I whispered back 

"Lets go back to the moon pool and see if we can find that Trident thing" said Alisha

"Okay I know a few things about it that I will tell you once we get back to the moon pool" I said softly  

We turned invisible and went back to the moon pool being sure that no one was near we went in the water and I told them everything I knew about the Trident. I told them about how once it was used to kill off all of the mermaids. We pulled our selves out of the moon pool and walked around the moon pool. There was a sudden chill around the sand the sand felt more gritty between my toes. The rock wall across from the moon pool now had a blue hew to it. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I went to touch the rock wall as Alisha tried to stop me but I did it anyway. As I reached out to touch it a blue beam rose out of it in the shape of a golden trident with a big blue stone in the middle. 

"Whoa!" said Ava 

"What dose this mean?!" ask Alisha 

"I don't know but we should probably leave" I said 

We dove into the moon pool and swam back to my house. Once we got to my house we walked in and we saw Aunt Rikki on the couch reading a book. Me and all of my friends greeted her and we walked up to my room and sat on the bed. 

"That was so weird what we saw on the moon pool it was like the walls of the cave were trying to warn us about something." Said Alisha nervously

"Yeah it was, I've never heard of anything like that happening before" I said
