Chapter 6

Totally unimpressed the dog walks out of the room and I'm trying to keep up with it but it's not that easy, because Anne is walking so fast. I'm trying to talk with her but the only thing I get is "Shhhhh..." We're walking past a huge painting and my companion upsets a vase. I was frightened and thought the vase would smash on the floor...but exactly the opposite happens. The vase is just standing there tilted and the painting we walked past opens like a door. Behind the painting is a secret passage. I enter and try to speak to Anne again. And this time I'm finally allowed to ask some questions. So I wanted to know where we were going and the answer I got was: "To our queen." I had thought of everything but that. If I'm right this is the country I saw on dad's book. And if my dream had anything to do with it the queen might be... No, that's impossible. I'm interrupted in my thinking, because suddenly we are there. And I can't believe my eyes! This is my mother! Or at least she looks like the woman on dad's photo. The only thing that was different was her clothing. Now she's wearing the blue dress I saw in my dream. It's in a very bad shape and her crown is missing as well. Her face isn't in a good shape either. It's full of dirt. But all of this doesn't change a thing about her beauty. And then she realised us. The moment she saw me, she smiled and whispered: "My child." And then I just knew it: This is my mother. I wanted to hug her so badly, but it was impossible because she was confined. I still had trouble blieving all of this, so I pinched my arm once again but I wouldn't wake up. But now the dog asked a question: "Your Highness, where shall I take Princess Christina? Back to her father?" The queen raises: "No..she can't go back home. It would be to easy for August. He could just catch her after school. Hide her here as an attendant but be careful, she doesn't know how to behave in a place like this." Hello, I'm here as well. They just seem to block me out somehow... "I don't want to stay here. I want to go back to dad!" And then Lady Anne just says: "I'll tell your father, that you're here." Great..my father will think he's becoming insane. He's probably just looking for me and then a speaking dog will appear to tell him where I am. Fine.. the dog has to know what to do about this. I say goodbye to my mother and go back into the secret passage.
