Math and Partners

Violet POV

Sigh. Math class
My favorite course...can you hint the sarcasm?

I lean against my chair, bored out of my mind with equations and expressions thrown at me. I look at the first math problem.

Find x. 222x • 51= 11/134

Oh Gosh. On my first day too. I just wanted to disappear.

Next thing you know, Mr. Lasasso makes us choose partners. Great.
Then I hear a:
"Violet!" I look over to see Wilbur flailing his arms at me. Well, at least I have him.

He comes over to where I'm sitting, pulls up a chair and plops down. Wilbur gives me one of his cheesy smiles sitting in a weird pose. I just roll my eyes, but inside I'm blushing.

I look at the paper. "Ok. So we have to do this worksheet." Wilbur shrugged, "Eh, let's just talk instead." He was known to not do assignments. I just say, "Sure but I'm not getting off points on the first day, so were multitasking." I look into his eyes to see if he got the point. Wilbur nods and groans, "You're right." I look down at the first problem.

Wilbur POV

Wow she's cute. Sure she has a lot of dark clothing and usually ignores me but that doesn't make her less hot.

I just stare at her for the longest time till she looked over at me giving me a pay-attention-or-I'll-break-your-face stare. Wait or was she talking to me? All well.

I lean on my chair as we go through the next five problems and try to talk to her. I start, "Soooo saw what happened with Penny and Hiro this morning?" She stopped working and faced me. Violet answered, "Yeh, I was right there. What about it?" I don't know!

But I mess with my hair, "Cause it's getting a bit obvious that they like each other, don't you think?" She nods looking down at the floor, "Yeh..they should date soon."

When I heard that come from her, I was a bit shocked. I kinda expected them to date but I never thought of when. Hiro wasn't that kind of guy who just goes up and asks a girl out or is all flirty like me. He's a bit shy. And Penny would but usually guys ask girls.

"Hey," I started looking toward her, "We should get them together." Then the teacher started talking for two minutes Blah Blah Blah. Violet moved some hair from her eyes, "How would we get them together, Wilbur?"

"Get who together?" It was Mr. Lasasso. I just look at him nervously, "Uhh nothing sir." I gulped as he stared into my sole and he soon walked away.

I turned to Violet who was scared herself and answered her previous question, "I'll text you." And we continued to work.
