Hiro's POV

My friends and I were talking and laughing at the cafe. My aunt seemed super happy with it. My friends soon left and Aunt Cass came over and hugged me. She held my arms and grinned, "I'm so glad you have close friends." I smiled and nodded in agreement. She continued heading to the counter, "So how was school?" I put a fake smile across my face. "It was great! I can't wait for tomorrow!" My aunt practically jumped in excitement, "I'm so happy you did!"

She went in the back room and I started to head upstairs. I know I shouldn't have lied to Aunt Cass but she seemed so happy that I had a good day. I never really did fit in with other kids besides Violet, Penny, and Wilbur because they always thought I was full of it and cocky since I was a genius. Anyways, I wasn't gonna tell her I was bullied by a senior and got a partner I didn't want in Language Arts. I didn't want her disappointed.

As I was walking to my room, I heard:
"But soft, what light through..yonder window--breaks. Umm..it is-it is-" Then a groan. I look and see Tadashi sitting on his bed in our shared room. I smirked and lean against the door, "Whatcha doin?" He looks up at me then down at the paper he is holding, "I'm studying the Shakespeare lines for Language Arts. You should to." I go into the room shutting the door behind me and jump in my wheely chair, "Acting is not my thing and also your stressing out on something we just got today. We have time."
"It's not my thing either but if we don't act on it now, it will get back at us. I would be a bad partner." I roll my eyes at my brother and I sneakily start, "Speaking of partners, I see you got Honey Lemon." Right after I say her name, Tadashi nervously smiles and rubs the back of his neck.

"Dude, I know you like her." I smirk crossing my arms. He sets aside his paper and looks over to the side avoiding eye contact, "Yeah, I do like her. I was even thinking about asking her out sometime soon." Wow, I liked that idea! I've always thought Honey Lemon was good for Tadashi. I snark, "I really now?" He nods and looks at me and suddenly grins. Oh no.

He starts, "So what about you and Penny?" I nervously laugh, "What are you talking about..?" Tadashi makes eye contact with me, "Come on, dude. You don't think I know?"
"No, cause your a mind reader." There was silence as he gives me a smirk. I sigh, "Well I do like Penny, you know that. But things...got complicated." My brother saw what I was feeling and frowned, "The Language Arts partners.." I just looked away which totally meant yeah. Tadashi tried to cheer me up, "Hey, just because you didn't get her as a partner doesn't mean that you guys are doomed. You two will be fine." I look up and smile at him, "Thanks Tadashi." He smiles back, "Nothing to it bro." We stand up and fist bump and Tadashi messes with my hair.
Tadashi looks over at his book bag hesitantly, but then walks to it. He pulls out some sort of slip and I was confused to what it was. Tadashi saw I was eying it and he looked down at it to, "Yeah, Ricky tattled on me and said I punched him in the face for no reason. I have a parent slip that needs to be signed and turned in." Oh man. Now I felt bad. "Dude, I'm so sorry I-" He stopped me, "Hey, my bro was getting picked on. I had to do something." He sighed and looked down, "Now I just gotta explain this to aunt Cass."
Just as he was about to open the door, I thought of something. I grabbed his arm, "Wait," he turned to me,"Aunt Cass will want to know why you punched a guy. She thinks I had a good day today, not that I was about to get beat up." Tadashi stared at me for a moment ańd opened the door, "I'll think of something." I watched him go and when he shut the door behind him I flopped on the bed tired out. Hopefully tomorrow won't be as stressful.
