Zoey's P.O.V.

Alex was gone without a clue as to where he was, Toby was off doing...something and Lilia here was out cold again. I thought once you had friends or a boyfriend and his family around you stopped being lonely.

To make matters even worse no one was around and I was about to die of thirst. My throat was itchy and burned a little.

WAIT! Hadn't I seen a little kitchen when I was looking for Lilia?

I got up and brushed myself down.

Lilia looked calm and happy. She wouldn't mind if I go get something to drink. I don't even think she would know any different right now. I pulled the dark blue blanket of Alex's bed up over her, she complains if she wakes up cold.

The door made a large creaking sound when I opened it. I winced at the thought of waking her up. Yet another thing that makes her complain, but thankfully she just rolled over not waking up at all.

I sighed.

Which way was it again?

Looking down the hall I cursed myself for not paying attention to Nana when she showed me the way.

Do I go left or right? I think we came through this way when we got here, but then again that painting down there looks like I've seen it before.

I picked the way with the picture. That way if it wasn't the right way I had something to help me find my way back to the other way. It seemed like the smart thing to do to me.

After walking and walking and then walking some more I thought I had taken the wrong way. Yay for me… Waves little flag in hand, NOT!

I was on the verge of turning around but something caught my eye in a room of an open door.

In a small round bowl was a small little goldfish swimming around the little plant in the middle of the glass bowl. I was almost happy enough to bounce up and down.

I knew I must be going the right way. I knew it!

I walked into the room, not really thinking that anyone would be here just like before.

I almost jumped a mile when a small but happy kind of sounding voice came from right behind me.

"Hello? Who are you? Why are you in my room? Are you another friend of mommy's?" I spun around shocked at the little girl behind me. "W-who are you!?"

I felt my heart race and beat like thunder as I tried to calm it.

The little girl twirled a lock of her brown hair around her finger then took it away, leaving a perfect curl in place. "I-I-I..."

She tapped her foot on the floor but smiled all the way through. Something told me she didn't know what doing that means. I let my mouth hang open as I looked her over. How could a little girl no older than seven scare me like that? I mean she's dressed in PINK!

We both got interrupted by a knock on her door.

A tall, older version of the little girl stood there looking happy as she took in the view before her, us. "Oh my! I would have never thought!  Look at MY daughter being friends with the Alphas' sons' mate! Oh My! Wait let me get my camera!"

The woman ran off only to return less than a minute later with a camera in hand and an even bigger smile then before. I didn't know which one blinded me more, the flash from the camera or her unbelievably white teeth.

The little girl pulled off a perfect pose with her hands in front and her head tilted to the side with a smile bright and white just like her mother. Show off. This girl must be used to this sort of thing.
