When I opened my eyes, I almost screamed. Putting a hand to my heart, I realized it was only a mirror in front of me. The erratic beating could no doubt be heard from a mile away. I took a deep breath, calming my heart down to half of how fast it had originally been racing. The beating was still pretty fast, but not nearly as bad as it had been.
Looking in the mirror, I saw my hair its usually shiny blonde, as if it had just been washed. It was also straightened, just how I liked it. What really shocked me though, was that I was in a bathing suit. It was a little red number with a black, slightly bigger piece behind it, and there was black writing on it. The swimwear showed off my one body piece that I was very proud of: my waist.
I looked around for different clothes, hoping for a fresh pair of jeans and a t-shirt. When I looked down, I saw exactly what I had imagined. I beamed, relieved to be in such casual clothes after Seth’s little stunt.
Looking around, I only saw a dark forest, and a cloudy sky. I frowned, wondering where Seth was. Just as I thought that, I was practically teleported to him. My eyes popped at what I saw he had set up.
He was in a clearing, a good 100 square yards. In the middle was a natural hot spring, where he was sitting, his bare chest and up the only thing visible above the water. His arms rested on the sides of the bank. The steam made little droplets of moisture appear on his tan skin, giving it a wet, sexy gleam. Not in the sweaty, stinky way, but in a just-got-out-of-the-water-at-the-beach sort of sexy look. His black hair stuck to his forehead, making me want to run my fingers through it. A lazy, relaxed smirk was planted on his lips as he took in my reaction.
Contrasted to the cloudy sky I had seen before, a full moon shone down on the clearing, billions of stars winking at me from trillions of miles away. To add a little more light, red candles were set up around the spring, creating a pink, romantic haze on and around the water. The trees turned out to be Japanese cherry blossoms, and small, fragile pink petals floated on the spring’s surface.
“Wow,” I breathed. When I inhaled again, a soft, floral scent hit my nose. I smiled, taking in the sweet smell.
I abruptly felt a coolness on my stomach and legs; glancing down, I realized I was back in the swimsuit. Frowning, I thought again of my previous, much more comfortable attire. Scowling now when I couldn’t, Seth’s chuckling was the only thing that told me he was still there.
Realization dawned on me as I recalled that he controlled these dreams. He could do anything he wanted to me during these encounters, and I wouldn’t be able to say no to him.
“Well, crap,” I said aloud dumbly.
“Don’t worry,” he snickered. “You’ll enjoy yourself very much.”
I gave him a you’re-a-pig look.
“Okay, enough with the dirty looks. Come here, though.”
I crossed my arms, cocking my hip. It was fun to be difficult at times like this. I always was at my most stubborn when I felt threatened.
“Angel, don’t by stupid. Just come here.”
I raised a mocking eyebrow.
Now, yes, I knew he could make me do as he said. Yes, I was fully aware that he would force me to listen to him. I don’t go down without a fight, though. Never have I gone down without a fight.
“Eva, get your ass over here,” he growled, but I could see the tiny teasing glint in his eye, the way his muscles were still slackened, relaxed, and how his lips curled up slightly at the corners, the way they did when he was trying to hide a smirk.
