Jake P.O.V

There was a small slit in my blind that let a little bit of light in, but it was enough to wake me up and Sunny and his barking didn't help either.

I swung my feet over the side of my bed. My feet touched the cold wooden floor and in the darkness I could see my Maths and English text book laying on my desk. I forgot to do my home work. FLIP.

Sunny was still barking and at that point I was so furious that I opened my window and yelled bloody murder at my younger sisters dog, geez I wish she would get that dog under control.

My morning went as usual, except for one thing I reached the dining table before Mia, Strange.

" Have you seen Mia?," my dad asked.

"Why would I have?," I responded with a groan.

" Just help me look," he responded.

We looked through the whole house yet there seemed to be no sign of my younger sister, I walked into her room and noticed that her window key was dangling from the lock. It wasn't long before my mind registered that her bag was gone as well.

But she wouldn't, she couldn't. How had we not heard her?

I bursted back through her door running as fast as my feet would take me, I rushed past my room that my dad had just came out of, he was holding a bag full of the drugs, my friend had given me, I'll sort that out later. Down the stairs I fled and swung open the front door and onto the lush green grass. I  was about half way across when I tripped over my own feet and landed on my face.

I laid there for a few minuets thinking, until my stupid dog, Sunny started barking at me.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT, I DON'T FEED YOU, THAT'S MIA'S JOB AND SHE'S NOT HERE YOU DUMB ANIMAL," I  screamed, Sunny just kept on wagging his tail. Then I noticed that there was something stuffed in  his collar, it was a rolled up  piece of paper. I reached through the gate and grabbed it from him.

It was a letter from Mia.

Look, I'm sorry ok.
There was nothing else I could think of. Don't expect me to come back.
I'll be safe, I'll carful, I'll be as mischievous as I want.
And you'll be sorry.

Love, Mia Gwen Boulevard

" Dad, dad, dad," I yelled continually.

" What, what, what," he yelled back as he stepped outside, then I handed him the note. The look on his face was sincerely sad.

She better do as she said, truth is I love my little sister to death, she's the only sibling I have, I really regret hitting her and now I'll never get to tell her.

The next thing I did was rush to the home phone and call her best friend Rose, she would know Mia's plan for sure, right?

*ring ring* *ring ring*

Rose - Hello?

Jake - Rose, where's Mia?

Rose - YOU TELL ME! I've got no flipping idea where she's gone, but she left me a note, she promised she wouldn't die.

Jake - Lets hope she keeps her promise, goodbye Rose, thanks.

Rose - Goodbye.

Third person P.O.V

The police came to the Boulevard's house searching high and low for Mia, but alas they could not find the missing girl, a file was created and news station and radio stations were told about the run away. Before they knew it the local news station had set up a camera outside the house, crowds and crowds of people bunched up around the news crew.

Mia stood patiently in background watching her family fret over her disappearance, she knew they'd be sorry.
