Third person P.O.V

At the Boulevards, Eric, Mia's father and Bea, Mia's soon to be step-mother were discussing wedding issues. They decided to move up the wedding, there was no use of getting Mia to design the dresses if she was not there. Jake had been given his test early that morning at university and his results were up. His mother would be pleased. Kate, Mia's mother who was already in a critical mental state before Mia's existence was now swimming in her own regret and self-pity, instead of her normal paddling.

Mia's P.O.V

My arm and knee throbbed and was sore. The sun shone harshly onto my back. I slowly got up and opened a packet of strawberries. They were somewhat substantial.

I had to check my wounds. The bleeding had stopped, thankfully, but there was a big patch of red on each of the bandages. I carefully unwrapped them and looked down at the wounds. They weren't bad, but they weren't good either. I poked them a bit, and it stung. I decided that I should clean them up, so I used the rest of my water and the piece of jacket cloth to dab them. I looked very carefully down at the wound on my knee. Flies were buzzing around it and there seemed to be something stuck in the deep cut. It was a piece of wood about three and a half centimetres long. The wound was more serious than I thought. I rummaged through the small first aid kit that I had taken from home. It was missing a few things, but it would do. There was sadly nothing that could help me. I didn't check it before I left. What was I going to do?!

Rose's P.O.V

Mia was all that was on my mind. She's causing me a lot of stress, but I'm strong. I'll be okay. The police were still searching for her, but I could tell they were going to drop the case any time soon.

I was walking down the street from my school, my bag filled with homework. The florist I pass most days was open and multiple customers were in there, including a blond guy bending down to look at some lilies. Everywhere I go seemed to remind me of Mia. When I see her next, oh I swear that I will kill her. In a metaphorical sense, of course.

Mia's P.O.V

I stood at the corner of the hospital. My knee had been bandaged up again. Somewhere inside this hospital was going to be some supplies to help properly tend my wounds.

A blaring siren sound filled my ears. A new patient had just arrived. As they wheeled the man who looked like he was in his mid thirties, was rushed through the emergency door, I hurried quickly and quietly behind them. I slipped through the doors and down a long hallway. I was lucky that the hospital had not installed cameras yet.

Around a corner and a couple lefts and rights I came to a flight of stairs and another corner that went left. I heard footsteps come from the direction that I had just came from, and I bounded up the stairs. At the end of the hallway there was a room with a slightly open door that a doctor had just walked swiftly out of. I stepped cautiously down into the room. I peered my head around the door and saw several things on a bench at the far side of the room that would help me out. I walked across the room and stuffed them in my bag. There also was a sink that I decided to use to fill up my water bottle.

I looked once more around the room, and I spotted a set of curtains and opened them. Light streamed through the room. Outside it was busy. So many people were going about their day, not giving a care in the world for a missing girl, but there were some that were caring. Home sickness filled my body.

I put the curtains back together, and the room turned back to slight darkness. I went back through the door, down the hallway, down the flight of stairs, another few lefts and rights, back down another hallway where I brushed past a doctor that was looking down at her clipboard to much to care to look up at the person she had brushed shoulders with and back through the emergency door.

I wasn't quite in the clear yet. I had to get back to the bridge first.

Cleaning my wounds was easy, I remember Rose teaching me. Another packet of strawberries and half a bottle of water later, I decided to head back to bed.
