Third person P.O.V
The blades cut deep into Kate's skin. Crimson blood dripped from the cuts on to her stomach, arms and legs, and seeped into the drain of her shower. She sunk slowly to her knees, but she'd survive.
White gowns adorned the walls of the wedding shop. Some glittered, some sparkled and some were simply beautiful.
There were too many to choose from.Jake was thrilled to find that he had been invited on a trip to France. It was remarkable how far he had come. If only Mia could see him now.
Rose was frustrated, she was Mia's best friend, there should be leads she could follow. There had to be.
Mia's P.O.V
It had been a good day, the sun was out, no one passed through the park or over the bridge. Peaceful. Hadn't had one of those days in a while. Night came exceedingly fast. I thought a nice stroll around the streets would do me good. How wrong I was.
I had seen it, possibly the biggest fright of my life. The black bag, the masks, the smirks. Robbers. Robbers had come out of a sweet little innocent flower shop. How could they?! It was so disrespectful, what had the owner done! Nothing, I was sure of it!
I carefully followed them down a dark alley, ya know, like the ones in the movies. The two of them, muscular and tall jumped onto a rotting bin and over a corrugated iron fence. I followed them through the streets with nesting crows and into the moonlight. It was so bright, it was a mystery how they didn't see me. I followed them into an abandoned facility, with spiderwebs so big, that I almost couldn't convince myself that I still had my sanity somewhere inside of me. I followed like a shadow and slipped into a grand room with a shattered sun roof and battered machinery drooping onto the stone cold floor. I kept on following, weaving in and out of the broken machinery that acted as a shield from their cold emotionless prying eyes. I ducked and kept as silent as a mouse. I followed them until they stopped. I stopped and watched with anticipation. Pulling out a key, they opened a door on the far side of the enormous room, pushing it open. The scream the door had made was too loud to bear for my sensitive young ears. I could have followed, but the door quickly closed with a BANG! It meant the end of my little curious adventure, but I would pick it up the next time I had a chance.
It was a three and a half hour walk back to my bridge, I was so exhausted, too exhausted to keep my eyes open a second longer. I had highly wore myself out, and my slowly healing wounds still hurt, but it didn't mean I was completely useless. I still had some of what I called my strength.
The poor florist. Sucks that I have to keep hidden and missing.
* Dream *
It was dark. And cold. Two masked faces stood in the distance in front of me and behind me was my family and friends. There seemed to be a small golden light emitting from underneath them. I took a step in their direction.
" Are you sure you want to give up? You could help you know," a voice behind me spoke. I whipped around.
It was me.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You could better benefit the world if you got to the bottom of the robbery," I countered.
" But my fami-,"
" But they DESPISE YOU, PITY YOU!" I shouted back.
"I wish I couldn't see it that way," a sad tone took over my voice.
"Be careful what you wish for," I said.
"What if I do decide to solve the robbery?" I questioned.
"Then you become braver," I responded.
" And what if I choose my family?" I wearily said.
"Then disgust and shame will wrack your soul," I darkly said.
"The robbery it is then," I said.
Suddenly everything started to fade and blur and dream me stared to turn and stalk away.
" W-what happening?" I choked out.
" You're waking up, goodbye," and that was all that she had said.
* Dream end *
