Willow~~~~
Thump.
I sat up on the floor beside my bed, now wide awake. What the heck? I looked behind me at my bed, trying to figure out why I was now on the floor, instead of my nice, warm bed. Sure enough, my father was standing over it with a stupid grin on his face. My eyes narrowed.
"What was that for?" I asked venomously.
"Happy first day of school! You're already late!"
I looked over at my alarm clock, and sure enough, it was 7:45. School started in an hour, hardly even enough time for a shower.
"Ah, crap!" I exclaimed. I scrambled to stand up and run out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. I showered quickly, forgoing any form of conditioner. I knew I was going to reget it eventually, but who shows up late to the first day? I toweled my hair off like a crazy person and ran to get dressed.
Opening my closet door, I plucked my favorite navy ruffled top, bootcuts and silver Toms from their respective places. It's these times wher I'm glad I'm an anal-retentive freak. The clothes hurriedly got themselves onto my frame, and I grabbed my make up bag, toothbrush and toothpaste and turned to walk out my room.
I ate my cereal in a hurry and brushed my teeth at the kitchen sink afterwards. Spitting and setting the brush down by the basin, I checked the oven clock. 8:15. I breathed a small sigh of relief.
"Didn't know you could get ready so fast, Willow."
I turned around to where my dad stood holding a cup of coffee.
"What can I say, dad? I have mad skizzles. But I'm leaving now."
"Alright, drive carefully. I don't have time today to visit you in the hospital."
I rolled my eyes at him.
"I'll keep that in mind. Wouldn't want to intrude on your busy schedule, or anything."
He chuckled a little, pulled me into a hug and pushed me towards the door. I grabbed my make up bag, keys and school bag and hurried out the door and down the steps. I drove to school leisurely, I had half an hour now to make it to first period. The makeup made it's way onto my face at every stoplight I hit.
Pulling into a parking spot, I walked towards the entrance through the courtyard. I noticed a blonde girl sitting by herself. I checked the clock on my phone to see what time it was. I had ten minutes, so I figured I had enough time to say hello. I walked over to her table, plopped down, and said hi.
