"You promise you won't say anything stupid?" I remind Keith as he rolls his eyes, fixing his tie. "I know, sis. This guy will have the shocker of his lifetime once he finds out that you're actually my sister." He smirks, facing the mirror.

"What do you think will happen?" I fix my hair as he scoffs, "Well, we didn't really end in good terms, King. I refused to accept any deals with him because well, he had planned something way much bigger than what I was thinking. I'm guessing that's what put him to where his is now. A player and an asshole." He explains.

"You mean he got successful?" I face him and he grins, "Success brought him fame and fortune. He forgot to appreciate the beauty in small things, King that's why he's always been an ambitious guy because he wanted everything to be under his control. Probably why so much guys fear him."

"I have a feeling he might be probably a leader of a gang too." I added. Keith laughs and replies, "I wouldn't be surprised if he was. He has a reputation of being a fighter too."

I never knew Peter was this type of guy. He was too outgoing but that's what most girls liked. Someone who could mend for themselves and probably a couple of dates that would get them a night with him. I laughed to myself as I hold my purse.

"Let's go then." I announce and John smiles with his dimple showing.

We walked slowly to the lobby and as soon as we set foot at the restaurant, my breath quickens as I see him. His hair was fixed compared to when I see him with his wavy hair all over his face. He was wearing a suit that made him sleek and oh god, I think he had just given me a heart attack.

He stands up along with his assistant as he looks at me, his eyes eyeing me but his eyes move to my side as he gulps, looking at Keith. We arrive at the table and I notice Peter still looking at Keith with his eyes widened.

"Of course, Kinsley Green. Never thought you were the sister of John." Peter turns to face me and I smile innocently. "I thought you would've known when you knew I was the owner of the bakery."

"I was clueless." He simply says, looking at his assistant. He looked furious when he had just found out that John was my brother as he skimmed the menu. As soon as we ordered, Peter looks at John and says, "Long time no see, man. How's it going?" He smiles and Keith looks as much taken aback as me from his statement.

"I've been good. Thing have been running smoothly. I heard you're investing at my sister's bakery. Why did you do it?" Keith says and Peter seems to be enjoying the tension between the both of them.

"Well, it's been the talk of the town. I wanted to give it a chance." He shrugs and I purse my lips, gripping Keith's hand under the table. "Well, I'm glad you've taken curiosity to the bakery." I thank him and he smiles. Oh lord. Please just don't smile.

Before Keith speaks, his phone rings and he excuses himself, leaving the three of us at the table. "So Ms. Greene, this is the contract we would be providing. Do note if you have any problems while reading it. We will be glad to take up some of your suggestions." His assistant hands me the envelope as he excuses himself too.

I know your boss put you up to this, god dammit.

I could feel Peter's eyes on me this whole time as I read the contract. I look up to see him staring at me with a blank expression. I close the folder and clasp my hands together, "Seriously, what made you so intrigued that you invested in the bakery."

"I loved the backstory of it. Made you look competent like your grandmother, Angel." Peter whispers but before he could say anything further, Keith gathers his coat and looks at me apologetically. "I'm sorry, something came up. I have to go." He kisses me at my cheek as he scurries outside to his car.

I follow his movements as he leaves the building and I am left confused and shocked. I turn my attention to Peter and clear my throat.

"Since when did you know I was the owner?"

"When Natalia and I visited. I wanted to take a look but it seemed you were busy with a friend." He clenches his jaw. "Not at all. We were just talking about some stuff." I defended. "Natalia was pretty though." I suddenly while Peter looks at me, amused.

"She's just my--"

"I'm sorry I took so long. The line was long." His assistant cuts him off and I'm back to reading the contract. "I guess everything is fine here. It was glad doing business with you." I stand up with my purse while Peter widens his eyes., "I'd like to buy you a drink, Angel." He says. I smile and bow, saying, "You must be tired, Peter."

"Nope, I'm going." His assistant says, leaving the both of us, once again. I sigh and take a sit across Peter as he grins softly. "What are the odds, we're now working together." He utters.

"I don't know if you know this, but you don't remember seeing me at your building before?" I speak out and Peter stops whatever he is doing to look at me. "You were that woman who brought my lawyer's briefcase. Of course, how could I not forget."

I scoff and cross my arms, "Yeah, how could I not forget the part where you were undeniably rude?" Peter leans himself back at the chair and scoffs, "So, you remembered." He answers.

"You remember too. Was the 'friendly date' a make up for your mistake?" I snap.

"No not at all. I just thought you were a cool girl to hang with since you kissed me at the bar." He explains and I gulp. Right, stupid drunk King had kissed him.

"I-it was a mistake." I stutter while Peter leans in, his eyes with a glint of mischief. "Then, would you consider this a mistake?" He says, his lips inches away from mine.
