Chapter 4

"Shhhhhh , Emmett you're going to wake her up " Rose whispered to her husband as they both tip toed up the stairs near Abbie's bedroom. They arrived at her door and slowly opened it to find Abbie sitting by her desk, sketching away. Slowly they walked towards her trying not to make a sound. As Emmet was about to touch her shoulder and shout surprise, Abbie jumped up and smiled .

"Surprise ! Gotcha "

Emmet was annoyed once again, like all the surprises they tried Abbie always knew what was coming. "One day, I'm gonna stick your head in the cake "

Rose smiled at her family " I told you we wouldn't be able to surprise her. As long as the sun's up she's up "

"Happy Birthday Abigail " They both smiled at their daughter .

Today was Abbie's 18th birthday and Rose and Emmett couldn't believe how fast she'd grown up. She was finally becoming a women and that made Rose tear up, her little girl was growing up.

"Thank You" She kissed her parents both on the cheek and they shared a group hug . "So what do you want to do today after school? Today is all about you, honey "

"Which is not that different from yesterday or the day before that " Emmett mumbled

"As it should be ! I can't believe it took you 18 years to figure that out " Abbie dipped her finger on the cake and smeared some icing on her father's nose. Emmett grumbled and wiped it off on Rose's shoulder making her glare at him, but something on the wall caught her eyes.

"Oh Abbie, this is beautiful. Emmett look , she drew a self portrait " She said while staring at a drawing on Abbie's wall. It was picture of a girl that looked exactly like her. The contrast of the colors was absolutely stunning as she touched it up with the perfect facial features, something Abbie was gifted with.

Every since she was young, Abbie would rise early in the morning when the sun was rising and draw picture that had appeared in her dreams. She would sit in her favorite spot in the house which was her balcony which over looked the forest and she would sketch in her sketch book. It was her favorite thing to do if she wasn't reading.

"I don't know if it is though. She looks like me, just doesn't feel like me "

" It couldn't be you because she's not talking " Emmett joked as he smeared icing on her whole face this time, ruining the cake .

"Dad !!! " Abbie shouted as she chased her dad out of her room and down the stares . He was too fast for her as he used his vampire speed, making it hard for her to catch up. He finally stopped and hid behind Edward as Abbie came into the kitchen .

"Happy Birthday to you , Happy Birthday to you , Happy Birthday dear Abigail , Happy Birthday to you " The Cullen family sang to their youngest family member. The whole house was decorated in purple ballons that were floating on the ceiling filled with helium. The dinning room had a huge banner written 'Happy Birthday Abbie' on it . There was a white chair that stood by the corner with many gifts that surrounded it with a huge three layered cake on the side. Abbie was over whelmed with joy as her whole family smiled at her .

"Ahhhh you guys, Thank you " She beamed and gave each of them a hug .

"Come lets open presents now " Alice squealed as she grabbed Abbie towards the white chair and sat her down.

"Wipe your face with this " she handed her a hot cloth and sat down with the rest of the family. Abbie was excited to open her presents and couldn't wait any longer .

"Start with this one " Alice gave her squared sized box. ' Happy Birthday , from Bella ** ' The cute box read . Abbie opened it to find a regular charm bracelet with a huge A dangling from the side.
