Volunteering

Yoongi was on his way to his first volunteering job for college. He hated volunteering since it took up energy though. The first job was at an animal shelter.

The gray haired boy walked in with his friend, Namjoon and signed in. "Which animals are you working with?" Namjoon asked as they got their aprons on.

"I think I have to scoop up poop in the dog section." Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Good luck." Namjoon laughed.

The two went their separate ways and Yoongi went into the dog section almost stepping in poop right away, "Fuck."

"Uh. Can't you watch your language?" A tall broad shoulder guy asked.

"Seems like your problem." Yoongi shrugged.

"Sorry about that." A brown haired boy, probably a bit shorter than Yoongi said.

"About what?" Both Yoongi and the broad shoulder guy asked.

"About the dude cursing and Jin hyung being bossy." The short guy said.

"It's no big deal... But are you guys volunteers?" Yoongi questioned.

The brown haired boy nodded, "I'm Park Jimin. Kim Seokjin, you can call him Jin hyung works here as a side job from his cafe, I'm just a volunteer for my college."

"Really? Me too." Yoongi said.

"You should start scooping, I've got a kid to get home to so I need this to hurry up." Jin said, scooping up dog poop.

"A kid??" Yoongi exclaimed.

"He's still in high school, he's just my roommate, not really my kid." Jin laughed.

"He's talking about my friend, Jungkook." Jimin said, "We really should start our work." He grabbed a shovel.

Yoongi sighed, grabbed a shovel and started to shovel. "Shit! I really stepped in shit!" Yoongi took off his shoe and got a napkin to wipe it off.

Jimin laughed, "Is this your first time volunteering?"

Yoongi nodded, "Does stuff like this always happen?"

"It can." He continued laughing.

"Aish, it isn't funny."

Finally Yoongi got done with his volunteer work for the day.

"Bye hoes." Yoongi waved at the two boys and left with Namjoon.

"So how was volunteering for the first time?" Namjoon asked as he started to drive.

"Shitty, literally. At least there was a cute boy there." Yoongi smiled at the thought.

"You like guys?" Namjoon raised his eyebrow.

"I have no clue." Yoongi shrugged. "But that Jimin guys was hella cute."

"Who's Jimin? He sounds like he got no jams?" Namjoon said.

"What?"

"What?"

The next week, Yoongi had to volunteer picking up trash by the highway but this time without Namjoon.

He walked all the way there and Jimin was standing there alone.

"Jimin? What are you doing here?" Yoongi yelled against the wind and cars.

"I am volunteering for my college. I'm picking up trash." Jimin picked up paper and put it in a trash bag.

"Really? I am too. What a coincidence?" Yoongi said.

"You sure you aren't stalking me?" Jimin asked, joking.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." Yoongi said sarcastically.

Yoongi picked up a piece of paper and jokingly threw it at Jimin, "Let's play a short game of paper ball fight."

Jimin chuckled, "I would love to, but we gotta do this."

"Look kid, you look younger than me, how old are you?" Yoongi asked.

"20..."

"And I'm 23. So you are younger, so you listen to what I say. " Yoongi smirked.

Jimin rolled his eyes and rolled up a piece of paper and threw it at Yoongi, "Game on."

After their mini game of paper ball fight, they had to begin their actual work.

"Wanna exchange numbers?" Yoongi asked.

Jimin shrugged, "Sure."

But neither of them knew if they'd ever meet up again.
