Jak & Daxter

Oh my goodness. If you know what this videogame is, you're amazing. This series may not be as popular as it was when it first came out, but a lot of people find Jak & Daxter nostalgic and part of many childhoods.

Now sadly, I didn't find out about this game til the beginning of this year. How did I find this? YouTube. Literally. Nearly most of these videogames and animes I like are because of YouTube. Origionally, I was thinking about looking up Ratchet and Clank (idk why) but I got sidetracked by Jak & Daxter. Yeah. So what happened was I continued to look up this game by going on Google and Wiki, and going right back to YouTube to watch some gameplay. I even actually saw all the cutscenes from all the main games!

What I mean by all the main games is including the following: The Precurser Legacy, Jak 2, Jak 3, Jak X Racing, and The Lost Frontier.

I'm not that great at explaining the plot to this series, but what I know off the top of my head is that between the first and second games, they end up going into the future, a dystopian future. The main characters if this series is...well...Jak & Daxter. Jak is more of the main protagonist and Daxter is like his wingman, or his buddy that tags along with him because he's got nothing else better to do. There are two other characters that are supporting characters, and they are Samos and Keira.

Samos is like a guide for Jak & Daxter. He's always giving them good advice and wants them to be the best they can be. Also, he's Keira's father. Keira serves as the tomboy who knows mechanics and is the love interest for the main protagonist (Jak). I really like her as a character, but she's not my favorite character. That's Jak! He's just an amazing character. We get to see him evolve throughout the series in a good way.

He started off as a quiet character. The one who did all the talking for him was Daxter. But then as time went by, he went from quiet to aggressive. In Jak 2, he got more muscular, taller, and a bit mean. But that was only because he got Dark Eco injected into him (Eco is basically energy). Whenever his anger reached a peak, he turned into a beast! (Kinda like Hulk.) Anyways, he learned to control his anger throughout the next few games, therefore, he was nicer.

If you look on my cover at the little picture, you can tell what a difference he looks in each game. I just wanna say a little something about Daxter and the romance between Jak and Keira. So Daxter is this weasel like creature, but didn't start off that way. I think it was because he fell into this Eco mass...yeah. I find Daxter very annoying! He just won't shut up! That's just my opinion, so don't be hatin'.

Okay! My favorite part! Romance. I find it adorable when I see videogame characters in a relationship! That's exactly how I feel about Jak & Keira. Let me say this now but, I ship them! Yes, I actually have a little list of fictional couples I ship, and Jakeira is on there! Just wanted to say that they're so cute together. :)
