Chapter 5

When we got home I headed straight to my room. Alli was already in there picking out possible outfits for my date. I had texted her that I needed help on picking out something because I really liked Brooks.

"So these are your options," Alli said. "Thanks Alli," I said. She smiled and laid down on my bed. "No problamo," she said. I grabbed the first outfit she put out. It was a white form fitting dress that came just a little below mid thigh with a cheetah print cardigan. I instantly fell in love with it and decided to wear it. I stared at myself in the mirror and admired Alli's judgement on clothes. She came behind me and said, "you look fab my dear." "Thanks love," I said. "Time for hair and make up," Alli said.

I sat down in a chair and let Alli work her magic. 'What you know' by Two Door Cinema Club started playing from my phone and I silently sang along. Sometimes their music just made me want to hop on my long board and run away.

Alli finished my hair and make up in 30 minutes. I looked at myself in the mirror again and damn I looked good. For once I was actually happy with my appearance. "And lastly are these," Alli said going to her suitcase. She brought me a pair if black pumps. "They are my fave Crisian and McCaffery pair," Alli said. My eyes bugged out of my head when she said the brand. That was Nareesha McCaffery's shoe line and frankly her shoes aren't that cheap. These must of cost at least $900.

"You sure I can wear these?" I asked. "I trust you with them," Alli said. She helped me put them on then I walked around the room making sure I could walk in them. "Perfect," Alli said.

I walked downstairs to the bathroom so I could grab a pair of earrings. I was exiting the bathroom when I tripped over the heels but someone caught me. I looked up to be greeted with the face of the enemy.

"Watch it there killer," Cody said. He was shirtless and had a towel over his shoulder. I took note of how much more defined he is. "Want a picture? It will last longer," he said. I felt my cheeks get read and I said, "I wasn't staring at you." He pinched my cheek, "it's okay babe, I know I'm irresistible to you."

Cody released me from his grasp and walked into the bathroom. "And where are you going?" I asked. Cody smirked at me then said, "wouldn't you like to know princess." He shut the door on my face. That jerk! I stomped off back to my room so I could complain to Alli about her idiot brother.

*Cody's POV*

I started the shower making sure the temp was nice and hot. I let steam fill the bathroom then got in. Today had been fun even though Kaitlynn hates my guts. She's even going on a date with me here! So what did I decide to do about it? I called Melanie and we are going to stalk her and Brooks. Don't get me wrong now, I like the kid but he doesn't need to be going after my girl

She looked so hot in what she was wearing. She definitely changed since we last talked. She drinks now and parties. I wonder if she smokes and gets high. I bet she doesn't, she's probably too chicken for that. But then again she did drink and drive. Oh god I wonder if she is a virgin.

I threw that thought out of my mind almost immediately. I didn't want to think about some other guy sleeping with my Kaitlynn. I stayed a virgin because I wanted her to be my first time. Same with her. I need to protect her.

__________1 hour later________

"Cody chill out they're not gonna see us," Melanie said.

We were sitting behind a plant watching Brooks and Kaitlynn. Brooks ended up taking her to some fancy place called latitude 30.

"Can I get you something to eat sweetie?" The waitress asked me. I looked down at the menu and just decided on a simple cheese burger with bacon. "Bacon cheeseburger with fries," I said. "Alright be right back with your orders," she said walking away smiling.
