"GUYS OVER HERE! IT'LL FIT IN THIS THINGY MAJIG!" Noah said pointing to a protruded slab against the wall. I ran over to his voice. I started to notice everything slow down. I turned my head while running seeing the many colors of the area we were in slowy fade into a hazy mist. All I did was keep running, I had to keep going if it were the last thing I had to do. But eventually I felt frozen in time. Like I were running in place. I was lost.
My surroundings sounding and looking like I just got a concussion. Then a faint but noticable sound rang through my head. It grew louder and louder till my body gave up.
"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" I woke up trying to absorb the blaring sound of my alarm to stay within my dream but eventually finding out to be no use. When I gained realization that it's time to wake up, I lifted my hand and taped my vibrating and blaring phone and turn it off. With a groan of not-so excitedness, I twisted on my bottom and let my feet feel the cold ground.
I walked past the other kids still sleeping or groaning of tiredness and entered the bathroom. I locked the door to make my mind think I have privacy from the others, but the lock is broken so it wouldn't even matter.
I steped in the bathtub and turned the shower faucet on the max heat. After a good amount of time savoring the sweet feel of warmth, I turned the faucet off and grabed the towel right outside the sliding shower doors. As I wiped my body I could already hear yells and feet banging ever so typically on the floor.
"Could this get even better...?" I jokingly said to myself as I dried my hair with a blowdryer. After a few minutes of getting myself awake and ready for the day. I turn to the small stool where I put my clothes on and see that they were gone. My eyes widened and I just dropped my head so hard that my necked popped.
I grabed the towel and wraped it around my now dry and silky body and slowly opened the door letting all the rucus flow through my ears and the peaceful bathroom. I quickly tip-toed my way to the closet and grabed my clothes that I already prepared last night and scurried back to the bathroom door. As I grabbed the door nob, Josh, a 12 year old play-boy, yelled out, "Ughewww why you be showing of yo hairy ass?!" he said as he was then immediately tackled by a 10 year old and they resumed their "fighting".
I swear I was about to go strangle him against the wall but I just quickly closed the door and looked behind me. The flap that crossed over to keep the towel on me gently rested with a bend revealing my behind. "Ugh..." I silently groaned.
After finishing doing my hair and finising stuff in the bathroom, I walked downstairs now fully clothed, and not showing my behind, and met up at the giant yet poor dining table waiting for my meal. I sat at my normal spot which was at the far end of the rectangular table. Next to me sat my sister.
"So you ready to get back to school?" she asked me while looking off to see if the food was coming.
We had just finished our fall break and this fall break actually lasted for a while in my mind at least. I enjoyed it. It was better than other times.
"Welp, I'd say I am if it weren't in sleeping quarters with a bunch of crazy youngsters..." I said slowly decreasing my voice as I saw a few of the boys from my sleeping quaters come in.
She chuckled a bit as she turned her head to me. "Well, those kids over there, are a lot better to watch then these kids" She said pointing to a group of the young boys and then pointing to a few infants and very young girls playing on the floor.
My mind started to drift as she pointed to the girls. I just stared at the carpet they were playing on. I started looking back at the dreams that were occuring so randomly. I started thinking to myself. I wonder what it means if it means anything at all. I mean it should mean something actually, I mean my best friends were there and it all seemed so real. I just don't know. Maybe there's something im missing. What about that-
I was cut off by my sisters hand waving in front of my eyes. "Ello?? You on drugs or something bro?" I look up and let out a "Mmm?" as I turned my legs to face the table now realizing that there was food resting on the middle of the table. "Well what I was saying was that you should really get into that-"
She was cut off by the sound of a plate crashing followed by the sound of a baby crying as loud as its infant vocals could. We both looked over to see what happened and I took this time to get my food. I slid my chair backwards giving me room to reach over and place a waffle, a small amount of scrambled eggs, and other tasty items on my small plate. We were only allowed one of each item which for a 16 year old like me, was definetely not enough. I mean c'mon, some of these small kids end up not even eating because they're so busy doing whatever it is they're doing.
As I grabbed my food, my sister went to help get a broom and clean up the shattered plate and...wasted food... off the ground. After that sad moment, I finished my meal in minutes.
I quickly got up and placed my dish in the sink dashing to the stairs. Now full of energy I skipped 1 step then 2 steps then for a finally of 3 steps. I ran over to a door with a small sign showing a "3". I ran inside and did a barrel roll over my bed and at the same time I grabbed my phone. I quickly dove down on the floor and grabed my backpack that I always hid away from the youngsters.
I do that because one time Josh and some other kid were wrestling and they eventually found themselves thrown on my bag. Apparently when that happened, I was downstairs eating, but somehow I didn't realize they crushed my science project that was carefully placed in my bag until I got to science class that day ready to conduct the experiment. I opened it up ready to take out the Coca Cola bottle. And I see that my bag was full of Coca Cola and a bunch of science chemicals and what nots.
Anyways, I got up and grabed my leather jacket and put my backpack on and quickly ran to the bathroom to see if my hair still looked fine. I took a minute to tweak up a few strands of hair drifting away from the way I had my hair put up.
As soon as I knew it was perfecto, I ran out of the room and approached the stairs. Then I just stopped and was already running back to the room to realize I forgot my earbuds.
I ran back and grabed my earbuds that gently rested on a shelf right next to my bed. After that I ran downstairs and stopped by the front door. Signing my name on the "Leaving" collumn of a nicely made chart on the book that laid on a small table by the door, I opened and close the door very swiftly and I hopped down the stairs and got on my way to school.
I walk for a few yards making sure im out of the foster home district. Then popped in my earbuds and plugged it into my phone. I typed in the 7 digit code "23, 15, 12, 6" and my phone unlocked. I scroll over to my music and looked for an upbeat song. I went ahead and put on Know Me - Marshmello and I continued on my way to Lecey's house.
