The Silent Cipher

The House

We ran like a pack of wolves through the woods. I felt amazing. The agility and speed I had was beyond what I'd imagine from me.

I went out ahead of the group and acted as the leader of the run. It felt weird but I felt that I had to stay up front.

I continued following the smell as we ran for a good five minutes.

We ran through areas of fallen trees, rocky build ups, and tiny water falls.

"How far is it? I still smell it but I don't see anything?" I asked wondering when we would reach our destination.

"Actually we are about to get there." Noah said as we kept running.

I didn't say a word as I kept an eye out for anything. I could smell the scent getting stronger. Then I realized that it smelt like urine...

"Is that urine I smell?" I asked

"Yea. I went out and marked our territory yesterday." Noah said.

"That's not gross at all." I said sarcastically.

"It's just to keep us safe and in case any of us gets lost. It's nature bro." He said with a laugh.

I was fixing to say something else but I began seeing something through the gaps of the trees.

I lost track of the scent as I just followed my eyes to the place I was looking at.

We ran towards it and I began making out a decent sized house.

"Is that it?" I asked them making sure I didn't screw up.

"Yep, that's Solved." Rachel said.

We finally broke from the trees and was met by a really cool looking house.

I slowed down and came to walking speed to look at everything.

"Whoa..." I let out as I looked around the area.

The house was a three story mansion. It looked well put together and definitely looked like a lot of money. The exterior walls were a dark wood. There were massive sized glass windows. I could see the inside a little bit. There was a spiral staircase leading up to the second floor. The house was tremendous for its size. I couldn't wait to see inside.

"How did you guys get this?" I asked sounding astounded.

"We got it for free actually!" Lecey said cheerfully.

"What the hell? How?" I asked wanting to see if I could get a house like this too. Especially for free.

"We can talk about that inside, it's gotta do with everything we need to catch you up on ok?" Noah said as he walked over to my side and looked at me.

"Mm alright." I said a bit bummed.

"Just follow me." Rachel said as she started walking towards the left end of the house.

We all followed until we reached close enough to the house.

There was a staircase leading down in the ground to a door.
