Attacked

When I entered the house, I knew I was in big trouble. On the couch was a very pissed off Rayna on the couch. I sat down in front of her and braced myself. When there was nothing but silence after a while, I started to feel nervous. When Rayna is mad, you usually get a mouthful before she cools off and forgives you, but this time it was different. She didn't say one word. She just looked at me. I started fidgeting and decided. To hell with getting yelled at, she was scaring me. " Rayna? Are you O.K.?", I carefully said.

I didn't want her to suddenly snap and explode on me, so I just waited for her answer. 'No. I am not O.K. I was worried to death that you had been kidnapped or raped or...or... I don't even want to think about it!", I flinched at the last one,"However, since I know why you wanted time by yourself, and probably lost track of time, I will let you off the hook." I let out a relieved breath and gave her a sheepish smile. She might be my best friend, but she also acted like our mother and has acheived the extremely scary when mad act. She gave me a small smile and opened her arms for a hug. I gave her a quick hug then settled in a chair opposite from her.

'Soooooo.....what happened after I left?" I asked, extremely curious. I can't imagine that Alexander just left, not with Rayna being as mad as she was. Now it was her turn to give a sheepish grin,"Well, when you left, that douche just kind of stood there. I think he was surprised that you even touched him, let alone slap him. When he turned around, he saw me and I pounced on him. I started screaming at him about how he was such an ass and how nobody could go as low as him. He just stood there while a gave him a peice of my mind. I think I just proved in his eyes that I am NOT a quiet person. I can be a bitch I admit, but that only depends on the person.", She started to stare off into space,"But I think I surprised him the most when I shoved the newspaper article of that night in his face and told him that if he had any compassion or kindness, after he read the paper, that he would either apologize or just leave you alone entirely.

"Nobody deserves any unkindess after that. It just isn't right. After he read it, he just stood there with a horrified look on his face. I laughed at that...laughed! I told him that if he thought that that was horrific then he should imagine what you went through in person. He isn't worth your time so please just keep away from him." She ended her rant and stared at me with pleading eyes. 

How could I say no? I mean, I was already trying to avoid him so it shouldn't be too hard to keep away completely. He finally knows the truth. My family, my brother, everything else, my past. Hopefully he would leave me alone now. I didn't need anymore trouble in my life. Well, i think now is the perfect time to take a shower! Wait...I remembered the note. Should I tell Rayna? 

She would worry about you even more than she already does, which is alot. She has bags under her eyes from waiting until you came home. Do you really want to worry her with something that could be nothing? 

No....I won't  tell her. She needs sleep and telling her that I have a stalker won't help . If it becomes more serious, I will fill her in on everything, even though by that point she will be so pissed that I didn't tell her in the first place!! Ugh! Decisions decisions.... I'm just going to sleep on it. By then I will hopefully have won the mini battle inside me.

 I told Rayna goodnight and trudged up the stairs. my legs felt sore from going 0-8 in seconds. The bathroom called my ame and I happily went towards it. I turned on the shower and grabed pajamas. The water soothed me and pretty soon, my whole body felt like jelly. As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, I knew something was wrong. The house was too quiet. Rayna always watched tv before going to bed and she hadn't told me goodnight nor was she climbing the stairs. Dread spread through me like a wildfire and I grabbed a bat that we kept handy in case of burglurs. I crept slowly down the stairs and tip-toed towards the living room. When I saw the top of a head, I stopped dead in my tracks. There was a dark liquid dripping down the back of the couch and I crept closer still, wishing with all my heart that it wan't who I thought it was When I saw the face, I let out a quiet sob. Rayna sat there with her head back. it looked like someone had hit her with a metal pole.

I should have told her!

I gently crouched and with a trembling hand, grabbed her wrist to check her pulse. I sighed in relief and joy as a felt the signs of a faint pulse. 

       My relief was cut short when I heard a shuffle in the kitchen. My heart froze in my throat and silent tears fell down my face. They weren't tears of fear, they were tears of anger. Whoever hurt Rayna has another thing coming if he thinks he can hurt my sister and best friend to try to get to me!I lifted the bat up as my hand gripped the light switch. In a flash, the lights were on, but nobody was there. I glanced around adn saw that the window had been opened and the curtains swayed in the breeze. I ran over and slammed it shut. 

They got away!!!!!!!! I thought bitterly.

I rushed to the phone and called 911. They got there to find me in a trembling state desperately cradling Rayna to my chest while I pushed a cloth to her head to stop the bleeding. When they tried to grab her, I snapped and started screaming at them to get away. They assured me that Rayna would be OK, but I still screamed. Eventually, the man with a stethascope came towards me with a syringe and everything went black.

TADA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry for those whm I kept waiting!!! My dad refused to let me write until I had finished my summer reading so I had to wait. -.- Hope you guys got a thrill from this one!!!!!!! i was so jumpy when writing this that I screamed when my mom popped up out of NO WHERE and said,"Watcha doing?" Still scarred.....*shudder* well comment and vote my lovely readers!!!!! GOODBYE TO ALL  AN   TO  ALL   A  GOODNIGHT
