*Lizzy POV*
Screech!
The sound of the bus jolting to a stop snaps me out of a daze. I was absorbed in my book, not paying attention to the fact that we were at our stop. As I rise to get off, I notice Jack two seats ahead of me. He's incredibly annoying, and he's my neighbor. It really is a great combination.
As he and the rest of the rows in front of me lumber down the stairs, I follow and glance at the bus driver on my way off. He smiles, and I give a small smile back. He's cool, for a bus driver at least. I climb off the bus and stand next to Jack, who's already walking across the street to our houses.
I start to run ahead of him before I hear him yell at me.
"Elizabeth, wait! I need to ask you something!"
I turn on my heel and wait for him to run toward me.
"What is it?"
"Do you like Ezra?"
"Why would you ask that?" I scoff, and shake my head. Ok, so maybe I had looked at him for a few minutes in class, but it couldn't be that obvious right? Anyway, Alison had already told me last week that she liked him. But after she told me that, I couldn't help but start looking at him. He really was hot, but I couldn't like him. I would just feel to guilty.
