"Is it true your adopting me?" I say excited and sad at the same time. "Your mom had a will stating if anything were to happen to her she wanted me to take care of you" Jay says. "Thank you" I say giving Jay a hug. "This kid has an arsenal of instruments. She must be good" Antonio says not noticing I'm there, " umm thanks I guess" I say blushing. "Can I have them back or are they evidence in the murder investigation." I ask " the big but not the biggest is okay for you to use we're still checking the rest for evidence" "so my cello" " that's what it called" Adam asks "this is why we're all shocked your engaged." Jay says laughing "can I have my cello" I ask. "Sure I'll go get it." Adam says minutes laterMinuets later he comes out later with my cello in its black fabric case. "So you gonna play for us." Ruzek says handing the handle of the case to me. "In your dreams" I say giving him a look "she just told you Ruzek" Antonio says. "Can I practice in the break room" I ask "sure kiddo" Voight says giving me a pat on the head as I get umap from where I'm sitting. I walk into the break room and shut the door. A minute later Jay comes in "you might want this" he says handing my the case holding my folding music stand. "Thanks" I say as he sits on the couch. I unzip my cello case and take it out as well as my bow from its pocket which I place on the table behind me. "So, what you gonna play for me" Jay asks with a big grin on his face. "I don't know just what ever" I say as I start to tune. I put my book of music on my stand "why don't you play Canon" "it's all I ever played for you" "ever think I like that song" he says as I laugh. I flip to that page. I put my bow on the strings and play. In two minutes I'm playing that last note, a F sharp. "You've gotten better kid" Jay says. "Can I go home" I say. "I'm going to talk with my boss you keep practicing." Jay says walking out of the room shutting the door.
